I agree with having God in my heart instead of in writing. I assure you God is 100% in my heart always.
If tattoos is all you are struggling with, then God love you.
I struggle everyday with alcohol, cigarettes, and sexual desires, it's not hard to stop by and have a beer, I smoke a pack a day, and I lust over women that I don't even know, and God still loves me.
I am an addict, and I'm addicted to the world, I don't see a day, where I will not struggle with these things, but I don't see a day where my Father will give up on me either, I just keep trying not to give up on Him.

We live by the life of Christ inside of us not from Old Covenant laws. We follow the law of the Spirit of life in Christ. The Holy Spirit inside us will lead us in our lives now that we are dead to the law and alive to Christ.
We can't pick and choose when it comes to the Law. If we break one - we break them all. If you eat bacon - you are breaking the law and are guilty as if you were a practicing homosexuality lifestyle. We live in a New Covenant now...it's much better...
We can trust the Holy Spirit to lead us in our lives now when it comes to something as benign as a tattoo.

Law stands whatever you think or say there it is
If you eat pork...you are not keeping the Law.....as Jesus said in John 7:19
The law is not for us in the New Covenant.

We are the righteous now in Christ. He fulfilled the Law for us so now we walk in love as love is the fulfillment of the law.
We live by faith in Christ and in His finished work for us - the gospel of the grace of Christ. The righteous in Christ live by faith.

Tattoos would appear to be harmless if it is not something offensive,but we have to look at it according to God's point of view.
If we set the rules that would give us freedom,and spiritually help us,our rules would not be so strict,which the occult,nature worship,is what I am thinking of that believes in spiritual evolution.
The Bible says we do not own our self,for we are bought with a price,and are the temple of the Lord,and to not to defile the temple.
It would seem like,according to God,that however we are born,it should stay that way,and not be tampered with,for if God wanted us to have tattoos we would be born with them.
If we get tattoos are we saying that what God created is not good enough that we have to add to our body to enhance it's appearance.
God said women should adorn themselves,not with jewelry,or make up,or plaited hair,but with the inner man,which is in the sight of God of great price,so we know tattoos would be wrong.

I believe the OC was inspired and the Law had it's place. But we now have a New Covenant Jesus said ..build on better promises and His blood speaks of better things.
The purpose of the law was :
1) To reveal our sinful state. Rom 3:20
2) To inflame sin Rom 7:8
3) To minister death in us Rom 7:10-11
4) To lead us to Christ Gal 3:24
The law is good! But the purpose of the law was not for righteousness or salvation at all, it was to manifest sin in our lives, so that the purpose of grace which is in Jesus is to manifest salvation. Grace does not set aside the law, but completely satisfied it.I really encourage you to study up on the New Covenant..it'll bless you and you'll fall deeper in love with your Lord who loves you dearly...

I doubt thats possible. Besides. I believe cery much the OC still is important and should not be thrown away because It IS Gods law and given by God either way. Jesus didnt lift the law, it still applies, he fullfilled it. and hes stated it

the new covenant is already in play.(and in protection, regardless if you understand or not) you don t need to study it. simply believe. a saviour saves. repent, repent believe, repent believe, the key factor is believe. still a saviour saves no matter what the equation you use. (food for thought) lol
