I agree with having God in my heart instead of in writing. I assure you God is 100% in my heart always. There you go
2 Cr 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Folks take this living epistle thing way too literally (words all over their flesh, written in ink) and all.
Women with menstrual cycles cannot have any one touching them...so no shaking hands or holding your baby or touching anyone else if you are menstruating...or they will be unclean all day long
Leviticus 15:19 (KJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
( We need to use discernment when dealing with Old Covenant law as we are in a New Covenant now)
Oh so homosexuality is allowed and all because we are in the new covenant now? hmm Good that you say that I didnt know. Lets throw out the OT all the way except the 10 Commandments then
Matthew 15:17
Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?
Absolutely..not
He makes pretty clear that whatever you eat doesnt defile you but actions. So your bacon may be eaten.
Matt 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
....
Matt 19:17
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

[FONT=equity_text_b_regular]It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid.” (Luke 16:17)

“Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law” (John7:19)Law stands whatever you think or say there it is
Is there anything in the bible against tattoos? I have a few, they are all very meaningful to me. One of them is a quote which has proven to be very inspirational. I don't see them as offensive or sinful.
If you eat pork...you are not keeping the Law.....as Jesus said in John 7:19
The law is not for us in the New Covenant.
1 Timothy 1:9 (KJV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
We are the righteous now in Christ. He fulfilled the Law for us so now we walk in love as love is the fulfillment of the law.
We live by faith in Christ and in His finished work for us - the gospel of the grace of Christ. The righteous in Christ live by faith.
Romans 1:16-17 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."
The keeping of the Old Covenant law is NOT of faith.
Romans 3:28 (NASB)
[SUP]28 [/SUP] For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.
Galatians 3:12 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, "HE WHO PRACTICES THEM SHALL LIVE BY THEM."
Jesus believed that the Old Testament was divinely inspired, the veritable Word of God. He said, ‘The Scripture cannot be broken’ (John 10:35). He referred to Scripture as ‘the commandment of God’ (Matthew 15:3) and as the ‘Word of God’ (Mark 7:13).
I believe the OC was inspired and the Law had it's place. But we now have a New Covenant Jesus said ..build on better promises and His blood speaks of better things.
The purpose of the law was :
1) To reveal our sinful state. Rom 3:20
2) To inflame sin Rom 7:8
3) To minister death in us Rom 7:10-11
4) To lead us to Christ Gal 3:24
The law is good! But the purpose of the law was not for righteousness or salvation at all, it was to manifest sin in our lives, so that the purpose of grace which is in Jesus is to manifest salvation. Grace does not set aside the law, but completely satisfied it.I really encourage you to study up on the New Covenant..it'll bless you and you'll fall deeper in love with your Lord who loves you dearly...![]()
