Need advice.

My daughter has pretty much rejected God. She blames Him because her step-mother left her and her sister. She struggles with Bulimia and depression.

Recently we found out that she joined an online dating site and was talking with strangers. I found out that these were sexual conversations. I also found that she has horribly offensive language that I have never taught her. I found out that she has passed notes in class between friends that were sexual in nature. She's been looking at things on the internet that she shouldn't have as well. She broke into our internet filter and took out all the permissions. Needless to say I have put spyware on her computer so I know everything she is doing.

She wants to have a cell phone but I'm reluctant now because I'm afraid she will give her phone number to someone she doesn't know. She wants to take drivers ed but again I'm afraid of what she will do with that privledge.

I don't know what to do. I can't trust her. I don't want to be OVER protective but I want her to be safe. I know that she will be an adult soon so I will have to let her go and make her own choices.

How do I keep her protected, stop her from cussing at me and calling me names, keep her in church, keep her safe yet let her have some freedom too?

I'm stuck, need prayer. Thanks for listening!

It sounds simple but its all I can offer Let her know (like my mom did) that Christ IS Love, His love is in you you area home here for home but that that True Love Of Christ is the real way "HOME" for her till no more a stranger to you and like the prodigal Son comes Truly HOME Love! It works and yes the godly rules

The obvious answer is the need to be on the same team again. The solving part's the problem.
I'm not an authority for the subject of course, so I only hope I make sense enough for consideration.

IMO, denying the cell phone and drivers Ed classes is not your right, but it is your right to refuse support. Find away to put accountability into actions, such as chores/work/study targets, helping with gardening/dishes... and perhaps make that a condition for the cell phone. Its a gamble perhaps, but following through on words and works is something we have to demonstrate too.

The other option is exposure to a new sphere of social influence, people she will respect or get along with hopefully who have the values you do approve of.

I agree with Thomas60:
"Find away to put accountability into actions, such as chores/work/study targets, helping with gardening/dishes... and perhaps make that a condition for the cell phone. Its a gamble perhaps, but following through on words and works is something we have to demonstrate too."
The things Thomas60 said are all important, I think and to remember the"following through" part is important, very important. The consistency factor is something your teen needs to be reminded that she has has bounderies and it has been said that kids in actuality want bounderies and I believe when you get your daughter involved in such activities that Thomas60 was talking about, she will feel more secure (though she may fuss; take that as a sign of progress! { Believe me, my daughter did} but I believe your daughter will know deep down in her heart that the bounderies you lay down are in essence good for her and it might take some time but you WILL see positive results. When my daughter was at home, I used to tape bible scriptures up on the wall around the house for "extra encouragement" :) Also, be verbally encouraging. I remember there'd be times I used to make my daughter sit down and make out a list of things that she was grateful for. I used to thrive on creative ways to get my daughter engaged and help to get her thinking on the right track...also, maybe a church youth group would be of help?
