TEMPLE.......TO BE OR NOT TO BE....PT 2
[Revelation 21:22]
22 I (JOHN) saw NO TEMPLE IN IT, for the THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY AND THE LAMB ARE IT'S TEMPLE
QUESTION?
What happened to the (at this point) recently constructed 3rd temple?
"IF" a 3rd temple is integral to the a/c's schemes why are we not told of its destruction?
unanswerable questions, i understand...but together they should cause us to examine what is being said.
throughout scripture, we get glimpses of GOD's Throne room Isaiah, Daniel, Revelation, Etc.....but where is this if (and HE IS) GOD is omnipresent?
[Daniel 12:11]
11 "From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, [there will be] 1,290 days.
Before I delve into the sacrifice here, lets talk about timing....1290 days....or little over 3.5 years. clearly seen as occurring during the 70th week. is it first half or second half? OR STRETCHING within both? I lean toward both.....
[Mathew 24:15-16] 15 "Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then those who are in Judea MUST FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS
How Long (or quickly) can one flee? 30 days perhaps?
SO LETS RECAP...WHAT I'M SAYING.......JEWS are going to be Praying and preparing to worship freely (PERHAPS WITH HOPE OF BUILDING A TEMPLE) CRYING OUT TO GOD (DAILY SACRIFICE) AND SOMEONE IS GOING TO COME TO POWER AND PUT A STOP TO ALL OF IT AND DEMAND WORSHIP....AND THEY ARE TO FLEE THEIR HOMES IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT PREPARATION (LUKE 21:20-21)
MORE TO COME.....

Who says that we are not told about its destruction? And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. (Dan 9:26)

The "sanctuary" is the other term for "the temple". And "the city" is none other than Jerusalem.

Okay; well, with that said- typically, someone who does believe there will be a 3rd temple/ millennialism/ literal New earth understands that if it is not destroyed beforehand, it will be burned up with everything else. But it's not really a super-important detail, eschatologically speaking.

..WHAT I'M SAYING.......JEWS are going to be Praying and preparing to worship freely (PERHAPS WITH HOPE OF BUILDING A TEMPLE) CRYING OUT TO GOD (DAILY SACRIFICE) AND SOMEONE IS GOING TO COME TO POWER AND PUT A STOP TO ALL OF IT AND DEMAND WORSHIP....AND THEY ARE TO FLEE THEIR HOMES IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT PREPARATION (LUKE 21:20-21)

Well, THEY are probably not going to flee: but if I was a Christian living in Jerusalem during this time, that would be our cue to get out of Dodge.

Hopefully, not on the sabbath... people will throw rocks at you these days, I've heard.

Im not...IDON'T BELIEVE THERE WILL BE A 3RD TEMPLE
“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God promised David that instead of man making him a house he was going to make them one where none could ever harm them again

God promised to raise his temple

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

But he spake of the temple of his body. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.”
‭‭John‬ ‭2:19-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it doesn’t seem as if anyone’s accounting the temple God raised up or what he actually had promised them that he would build them a house and appoint a place of safety for them Forever

The temple was only a pattern of Jesus where God truly lives and dwells

I am suprised no one has seen this

rev 21 is about the new heaven and new earth. vs 22 is about the new jerusalem who comes down.. This earth and the third temple that will be built is gone by then.

it's not that people aren't accounting for it; it's just that we are smart enough to understand that the antichrist isn't going to set himself up INSIDE JESUS and proclaim to be God from the inside of Jesus.

And you're spamming all these scriptures that everyone that has been discussing the subject probably already knows and agrees with- and regardless of their truth; they have nothing to do with whether or not there is going to be another brick-and-mortar temple.

"We" do not need a temple; I've never seen a Christian that disagrees. But if the Holy Ghost tells you specifically "Pilgrimshope, I want you to build me a temple out of some rocks" would you sit there and argue with him about it, and tell him that you don't need to build him one, because 'Jesus is the temple' , or would you start youtubing videos on how to do stonemasonry?

You know- and I know you know- that the temple sacrifices were never for the remission of sins; so, it's not as if they were some unholy substitute for Jesus. You wouldn't tell the apostle Paul "oh, Jesus' sacrifice was 'all sufficient' so I don't have to give the sacrifice of praise and profess his name with my lips" would you? Would you seriously do that? No, you would not.

So, you understand that Israel, national Israel, AND the Church in Israel are still accountable to God, like every other nation and the church in every location is accountable to God, and he can tell them, like he could tell you or anyone else, to do anything he wants- including building a temple, or an altar, or basketball court, or a hockey rink, or a foosball table, or an all-you-can eat-chicken-wing-buffet, or a tea brewery, or a library, or a computer lab, or a coffee house, or a lumber yard, or a secret hidden base, or a storage unit facility, or a hospital, or a pillow fort, or a petting zoo with donkey stables, or an out-house, or a juice bar, or a movie theatre, or a hot dog stand, or a gas station, or an airport, or a seaport, or a charging station with USB ports.

Nothing in the New Testament, the words of Jesus, OR his apostles, prophets, or otherwise credible witnesses- states that there will not, cannot, or even should not be another structural temple built and/or operated by Israel, or anyone else for that matter.

Yeah, that would be really weird (...to think that). lol

And yet, Paul refers to "the temple of God" when he references the "man of sin" in 2Th2:4b and what he will DO and say there... and the wording in 2Th2:4a corresponds with those found in Daniel 11:36a (in the section of Daniel covering the time-period which ENDS when Daniel [OT saint] will be resurrected ['to stand again'--on the earth] per the wording "[thou shalt...] STAND IN THY LOT [at the END of the days--at the end of the 'days' referenced in that context, vv.1,6-7]"... which has NOT yet taken place: Daniel has NOT YET been resurrected. Not even in 70ad ;) )

Well, I'm sure you don't believe that either; because it's silly. All I'm hoping for is that you will not close your mind to something God has not already forbidden.

Brother no offense taken or anything and I’m actually pretty average when it comes to intelligence I’m alright with that . the Bible isn’t about being intelligent it’s about hearing the word of Jesus Christ and believing

I would just say look into what happened from 600 bc to ad 70 to Jerusalem culminating with thier cities destruction and it’s temple

Did you ever notice not a single person in the New Testament foretells a rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem before jesus returns at the end of the world ?

But for instance in Matthew 24 Jesus tells of the temples destruction and the great tribulation and the destruction of Jerusalem and then he tells about the end of the world and his return ….

i wonder why he nor his apostles never mentioned the important doctrine tbat the temple was gonna be rebuilt ?

they talk a lot about the end but not a single person explains about this rebuilding of the temple a third time .

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped;

so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭2:3-4‬ ‭

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭

“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭13:5-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

do you see how it doesn’t have anything to do with some man in Jerusalem who resurrects the Jewish temple and stands in it sayong “ I’m God “ ?

Its a phrase “so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”

Gods is in his temple in heaven this isn’t saying he’s literally going to be on a temple but he’ll take the position of worship from the world

But of course my minds always open if your going to show me something in the Bible , I’d ask you the same have an open mind to what the New Testament says and how it interprets the Old Testament

Revelation 11:2
But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months.
