But are they correct?
To begin, let’s go to 1 Chronicles 17:11, 12: “It shall come to pass ... that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.” This prophecy given to King David says his offspring will build the temple. Later, in 1 Chronicles 28:6, God reaffirms, “Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts.”

But this text is also one of the clearest examples of a dual prophecy found in Scripture. Dual prophecies have both a physical and spiritual fulfillment. Indeed, Solomon, the son of David, built the physical temple. But this prophecy also applies spiritually to Jesus, the true “Son of David,” who is to build a temple and kingdom that will last forever.

Jesus’ prophecy that the pride of the Jewish nation, the temple, would be destroyed inspired the most intense rejection of His teachings. (See Matthew 24:1, 2.) In John 2:19, Jesus says, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” Of course, Jesus is speaking of rebuilding a temple—not of stone and nails, but of living stones (1 Peter 2:5). Yet many refused to grasp this teaching (John 2:20, 21). They even mocked Jesus on the cross regarding His prophecy (Matthew 27:40).

Yet when Jesus died, the veil in the earthly temple ripped in two from the top to bottom, signifying that the temple no longer held meaning. A temple for sacrifice today would be as useless as it was then, and it would not be the house of God.

The New Testament is replete with the idea that the temple is the body of Jesus. Ephesians 2:19–22 says, “Ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God: And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.” (1 Peter 2:5.)

Even after God provides all this clear evidence that His temple is a spiritual one, many Christians are waiting for the Jews to receive a construction permit to rebuild a physical temple on the site where a Muslim mosque now sits. However, there is no prophecy, promise, or commandment in the Bible that says the physical temple would ever be rebuilt after the Romans razed it nearly 2,000 years ago.
I fully accept this teaching 😊 this has been a belief of mine too

I also accept the temple of solomon was the temple of the old.

I have visions of that temple all the time especially the copper baths and the jasper columns where the ark of the covenant rested. Amazing temple i have dreams about it all the time too

we are one in Christ so Israel is no longer centered in Abraham and his blood line but is centered in Christ. If we are in Christ we are part of Gods family. It is about the heart.
Rom_2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Many Christians misplace the focus from spiritual Israel to the literal Jewish nation, they are also confused on the subject of the temple. Most of the speculation for a rebuilt temple springs from a vague reference in 2 Thessalonians 2 dealing with the Antichrist power: “That day shall not come … [until] that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God” (vs. 3, 4).

Many say that for the Antichrist to sit in the temple, it will obviously have to be rebuilt.

Those who support this belief are known as Christian Zionists, and they include such popular writers as Hal Lindsey, Tim LaHaye, and John Hagee. Their published book sales exceed 70 million copies—including the popular Left Behind series. Their beliefs are endorsed by some of the largest theological colleges and institutions.

But are they correct?
I dont think they are correct no 😊

This “Middle East”, Literal temple approach to prophecy became popular among mainline churches in the 1980s with a series of books from Hal Lindsey. In his bestsellers, including The Late Great Planet Earth and Countdown to Armageddon, Lindsey employed this very literal dispensational approach to prophecy, making several very specific, and very errant, predictions. He wrote that a secret rapture of the church would occur in 1981, which would be followed by the building of a new Jewish temple, the advent of the Antichrist, the great tribulation, the invasion of Israel, the battle of Armageddon and the millennium—all by 1988.

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Jer 29:9 For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

Despite every single one of these predictions falling flat, his books continue to sell, making for most a standard that all end-time prophecy is viewable only when filtered through “nation of Israel glasses.” Worse, the seeds of error they contain have sprouted and become firmly rooted in many churches. Now millions of Christians are vigilantly guarding a styrofoam monument with no prophetic veracity, and building on the crumbling sand of popular evangelical trends.

Are you building your hopes on doctrines that are not from God and have not light?

1) No. Christians are waiting to be raptured. We may never see the "tribulation Temple" being built.
2) You haven't been paying attention. The Islamic mosque compound sits atop the foundation of the Antonia Fortress. Confirmed beyond the slightest shadow of a doubt.

While there remain some differences of opinion among these evangelicals regarding the role of modern Israel in the end-times, the majority agrees on the following five events as core prophecies:
  1. The rebirth of the state of Israel in 1948.
  2. A soon-coming seven years of “Great Tribulation.”
  3. The rebuilding of the Jewish temple on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.
  4. The Antichrist’s rise during the tribulation; He’ll enter the temple to proclaim Godhood.
  5. A final war against Israel, which will result in Armageddon.
Some things may happen and appear like they are from God but the devil is working to decieve and destroy us too.
The only safe place is Jesus..

No. I believe it and I'm nothing more than a plain-vanilla Christian.

What you clearly do not understand is why I believe it. And what is wrong with you not believing it.

Yeah it is Zionism unfortunately and John Hague with his big mouth even won the approval of netanyahu, the biggest Zionist of all.

With John Hague he always trying to win the approval of men, he's had 3 heart attacks with his shouting and attributes his heart attacks to speaking God's words appropriately.

I dislike his attitude greatly for what he's done to Palestine Christians. With his huge audience of Christian evangelicals he's grown, he has promoted Zionism like no other leader with his views that Jews should own Jerusalem go to war defending, he has gained many people to support Israel Zionism

Jerusalem belongs to the Christians but it's shrunk from 20 percent to two percent thanks to people like John Hague

HIs influence has promoted Zionism all over the world.

I would love to punch him right in the nose.

But obviously that's just how I feal but not something I would do.

John Hague also has this view of rebuilding the temple to.

Oh I'm in a bad mood now.

there are many different ideas but if they are looking for a literal temple they are wrong. They are making the same mistake as they did in Jesus 's day.

Jesus's people misunderstood and misapplied the prophecies regarding His kingdom. They eagerly waited and watched for Him to establish a literal, earthly kingdom. Jesus constantly explained that His first coming was to establish a spiritual kingdom. He said, “The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:20, 21).

But because the persistent and popular teachings of the day focused on a muscular messiah who would overthrow the Romans and seat himself on David’s throne, the disciples brushed aside or simply ignored Jesus’ comments regarding His spiritual kingdom. They tried to make these spiritual prophecies literal, and the crucifixion crushed their expectations of an Israel with dominion over all the Earth. Longing for freedom from political oppression, they lamented, “But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel” (Luke 24:21 NKJV).

But they were wrong and the same mistake is being made again today.

Your problem is that your vacuous opinions and tedious dialogue don't square with Scripture.
Old Testament New Testament any of it.

Prophecy, being inevitable and infallible, is 100% percent absolutely guaranteed to happen per the codified record. No more no less and exactly on time.

My advantage is that I understand it. Your deficiency is that you do not.

Why don't you work on a list of what is metaphorical and what is literal.

metaphorical
Christians as the body of Christ
Christians the temple of God

literal
the temple to be built on the temple mount
the daily sacrifice of two lambs, one in the morning, one in the evening
abomination of desolation to be set up - a statue image
the number of the beast's name, the beast's name, the mark of the beast's name
the mount of Olives split in half, half to the north, half to the south

im not sure sure what your implying...
I believe in the time of Jacobs trouble, a great time of trouble such as never been and the second coming of Jesus.

Like Paul states we can all be part of the plant..
Rom 11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Rom 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God:.....
Rom 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
Rom 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

So we can all be part of the tribe of Israel because of Jesus.. There is no difference. Literal Jew or Spiritual Jew, we are the same in Gods eyes and the difference is if we believe and obey or not.

Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

“When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6). The deciples wanted so much to believe their own view that the devil was able to blind them to the plain truth.

Is it possible that today’s church at large is making the same mistake by misapplying prophecies regarding spiritual Israel and the temple—interpreting them in a literal sense without basis? If so, they could be preparing to embrace a diabolical deception—not to mention experience a devastating disappointment!

A great prophecy to go with this is

Isaiah 2 in the last days the lords temple will be established as chief among the mountains

Well as we both know what temple the lord was talking about 😊
