Brother. I love you. We don't need any signs or wonders. The Signs and wonders put a stamp of approval on His word.


Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved....We(His church/bride) are blessed beyond belief because of this. We take Him on faith. Everybody else had signs, wonders, God in their midst, God audibly talking.. We take Him at His word. Blessed beyond belief for that.

Those who get serious with Him..... study,study and study. Line upon line precept upon precept.......We have life in Him, we have life instructions in His word. His Word is all we need.

This is actually what eternal life consists in. An ongoing interplay between Shepherd and sheep is necessary to abiding in Christ.

You are simply not getting what I'm saying. Jesus voice, within the context of the "my sheep hear My voice", is about gathering those who belong to Him so they can begin to follow Him in and out. It is not about His voice being used constantly while the sheep are following. In this instance His voice is the Gospel which brings those who belong to Him into the fold.

The problem is people keep using this verse to mean as we are following, we are hearing His voice but once we are have come to the Shepherd (saved) we now have a visual. Our visual is the written word. We don't sit around listening for voices, even figuratively, we have already come, now we fix our eyes on Jesus and follow and that requires learning the word.

You are correct, the constant interplay is necessary but the "sheep hear my voice" verse is not it. The verse cannot be used to justify how we follow the Shepherd because it is talking about what happens to bring us to the point of following not the actual following.

I understand what you are saying. I simply disagree with what you are saying. And I gave the scriptural references as to why. You can receive it or not.

Another aspect of being a sheep is that they are given eternal life and shall never perish. Anyone who ends up perishing cannot have been sheep.

Perishing is going to the Lake of Fire. It is not having all your wood, hay, and stubble burned up by the Lord - thus having your eternal rewards denied you!


For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward.
