My Lord Jesus.
He is good.
He stokes the flame in a candle that's almost snuffed out.
He draws me back from the darkness with love.
When my hope begins to fade,
He calls me to His arms.
He searches the valley for His lamb, and carries it back to the flock.
He calls me blessed,
For I am poor in spirit.
In my poverty He gives me a Kingdom.
I cry out to Him,
And He feeds me from His hand.
I repent in tears at the throne of grace,
And He sings a song over me.
Let His goodness be praised in the whole earth.
Let everything praise His name.
For He hears the cry of the poorest of souls.
He hears my cry and washes my robe clean from wretchedness.
He reaches to the needy with love.
Nothing truly satisfies but Him,
My Savior who forgives, the One who covers me with His feathers, who kisses my neck and clothes me in white.
He receives praise from this broken heart, and handles the same heart tenderly.
Praise God.
