Hello brother,
Many times we mean well but our zeal blinds us.
At that time is when, care and edification for a brother, and not self concern is engaged by another.
The Christisn law combines faith in BOTH the Father and the Son and love that promotes benevolence to all.
Repeated to our people, after baptism, is to love and do good as opposte to the former people hating and doing evil.
Ok brother, as mature men who want to stand with Christ, who in his benevolence died for us,
and with GOD our Father who loves us, let us look at our PRIMARY guiding principle that they have taught us.
3 John.1
[11] Beloved, follow NOT that which is evil, but that which is good.
He who does good is of GOD but he who does evil has not seen GOD. (by character)
If thanks giving or anything else is found to be evil
then abandon it and draw close to GOD and Christ.
On the other hand if it is not eveil then let us love and edify eachoher.
Boldly stand for good and honesty with GOD and Christ and their people who were from the beginning.

After over 20 years,
I still thank GOD and Christ for the man who indirectly showed me baptism, calling on Jesus.
I had to study and ask Jesus what happened.
Nobody wanted to baptise me and Jesus took me from there.
When you do it then you will know why....
The Prophets, especially John the Baptist who called the powerful, religious, Jewish leaders snakes,
Jesus, who left his luxurious heavenly abode or the Apostles were in a popularity contest.
GOD loved them all and took vengeance for them....
