Paul is one of my patron saints. John, Peter, and the rest of the original apostles (minus Judas of course) are awesome, too, but Paul was given a special mission to expand the gospel to the Gentile world. This was revolutionary, and the scope of his ministry spread the gospel to the civilized Western world.

As a very well educated and trained scholar, Paul was also a Roman citizen, which gave him special rights for travel and protection under Roman law. He fully immersed himself into the teachings of Jesus and with the help of the Holy Spirit, Paul documented some of the greatest Christian literature ever written. His letters are filled with sound doctrine written in plain language, and they best summarize the core Christian teachings of the early church to the Mediterranean region of that day.
paul is wonderful just like Peter John James matthew ect my only point is that Paul is a minister of the gospel to not o my gentiles but this same group that everyone else was commissioned to preach the gospel to before Paul was even converted

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This already includes gentiles of every nation Paul is one of those chosen witnesses chosen to preach the gospel to Jews and gentiles

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s also Paul’s mission heres who he preached to just like the others did

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: but shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judæa, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me. Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: that Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:19-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My point isn’t that Paul didn’t have a mission of course he was the apostle who led the gentile ministry I have no dispute there I think Paul’s writings are revelationary and are some of the most in depth explainations of the gospel that exist after the four accounts of the gospel his epistles may be the most important things we can learn because they help us grasp what the gospel us and meant ect

Paul’s wonderful he wasn’t preaching a dofferent gospel nd he was never preaching only to gentiles nor were the others flyer Jesus rose and commanded then to preach to the whole world until Jesus died it was only israel after he rose he sent them all to all the world all gentiles and Jews

Paul is one of these twelve men who Jesus himself in person chose and appointed his apostles

“And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul’s is one of those

“Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

pauls wonderful he’s a follower of Jesus like we all are called to be

“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

i love Paul brother he’s definately an apostle nd preacher of the one gospel he himself nice a Jew converted to Christianity and became an apostle of Jesus the Christ we should all learn what he was writing in his epistles and also what he preached in acts and said about his own doctrine and where it came from

During Paul's missionary journeys, he always visited the local synagogue and spoke to the Jewish people in those cities. It seems that on the whole unfortunately, Paul's message was rejected by the Jews because they were caught up in traditions and their blessing of being the covenant people. Paul found a much more receptive crowd among the Gentiles although there were many issues among them too as documented in the letters to the Corinthians and Galatians.

Paul gave the Church down to our day a model for Christian living. His focus was on Christ first and foremost, and Paul applied Jesus' teachings to address serious issues in the Church such as circumcision not being required for Gentile converts. Although he was single, Paul's insights into how a loving marriage should function is profound. The basis for any solid relationship is Godly love focused on glorifying God first and serving the needs of others.

Paul was just such an honest person as well. Although he was a deeply committed apostle for Christ, he showed his human side and struggles with sin like all of us face in the flesh:

Romans 7:24-25

King James Version

24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

I am so grateful Paul's letters were preserved and added to the Biblical canon of the NT. From my point of view, with the four Gospels, Acts, the Epistles, and Revelation, we have all the information we need to develop and strong relationship with Jesus Christ and carry on His work until He returns!

“For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

1 and 2 Timothy explain the things paul taught in the church well. These are things paul taught everywhere he went and also shines his thoughts of himself to Timothy

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; …For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:1, 3-7‬ ‭

“But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭3:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4:1-2‬ ‭

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:3-5‬ ‭

if someone can’t agree with what our lord said we shouldn’t be listening because of this part

“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:1-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When people seek turn us away from what Jesus said they are trying to turn us away from the truth of God

“Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭

every Christian should accept the lords word that is the truth of God almighty and will save anyone that hears and believes. Paul was a witness of the lord and his truth that saves

any reading Timothy’s letters you can begin to understand what Paul actually taught rather than just saying catch phrases like “ we’re saved by grace “ then Paul’s doctrine becomes upper valuable for understanding the true gospel

amen remember he was a Pharisee from the tribe of Benjamin the Jews had rejected the gospel and crucified the messiah only a small remnant believed. Paul began persecution against the church trying to stamp out this new “heresy “ he then was converted and the Jews hated him even a little extra because he was a former leader of the Jewish sects and was now a traitor . Immediately the Jews began trying to kill Paul.

indeed his desire became to preach the gospel where it hadnt yet been heard places where the law of Moses wasn’t as rooted .

As to the rest just an amen in agreement especially this part

“ am so grateful Paul's letters were preserved and added to the Biblical canon of the NT. thats so true the process of faith is set before us it only requires us to come listen to the lord and his gospel that is life everlasting

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul’s writings and contributions are definately a treasure in scripture for those who heard the gospel and believe!! That’s who he was writing to people who had heard and believed the gospel and that’s when his letters begin to really become profound once we let Jesus words be first Paul’s words light up

his audience for instance here were people who had already heard the gospel whether from he or the others they had heard the truth already Paul is now teaching them from that point

“But ye have not so learned Christ; if so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:20-29‬ ‭

I don’t know if that point makes sense but many many want to just try to read only Paul and understand jesus …..we need to hear and believe Jesus first and then we’ll understand paul and the gospel better many want to remove the truth of the gospel nd just apply a few quotes from paul removing even his teachings from n his letters for the sake of catch phrases like “ your saved by grace “

arhats w true general statement but there’s no knowledge or understanding whatsoever of what it means elsewhere we can say “ we’re saved by grace “ then we can begin to grasp “Paul’s saving grace “

it sounds like this

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

grace that saves teaches believer to repent , and to repent bey the lord to do good works and care for other people in his name while we wait for his return …..

when we erase that part and say “ we’re saved by grace “ we’re really just avoiding what grace is and contains and how it saves us Paul eas an excellent teacher these days hardly anyone will listen and learn from what’s already here in scripture

a Paul for instance he isn’t speaking riddles he is laying out plainly those Old Testament mysteries that used to be hidden and need interpretation the New Testament is the interpretation but so many read a line and then re interpret what it could possibly ever mean ….when it means what it said in context

We are. Called to be hearers and believers of the gospel that’s the only way we’ll ever know the truth Paul is super helpful to believers of Jesus and the gospel if we do t receive the gospel Paul’s letters re hurt gong to confuse and distort our minds or be used like this as Peter warned

“And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:15-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul’s letters also can be used to create false doctrine very easily that can destroy faith and lead to destruction of men

the key is to first accept Jesus and the gospel and then Paul’s letters will never sound like they are contradicting what Jesus said but Rather he is witnessing the truth of Christ and the gospel

we can’t remove Jesus and embrace Paul like some try to do we need to embrace Jesus and Paul’s already there

Excellent brother--while I was writing my last response to you, I was thinking about Paul's senior advice and encouragement to his young mentee pastor, Timothy. Paul always goes back to the source, Jesus, and as intelligent and well educated as he is, Paul focuses on the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus.

Look at the simple advice and focus Paul passes on to the struggling Corinthian congregation:

1 Corinthians 2:2-5

King James Version

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Paul simplifies it all down to "Jesus Christ, and him crucified." Very powerful--don't rely on worldly wisdom; keep your faith in the "power of God!"

The problem with the combination of the gospels with Paul's letters. Is that Jesus was strictly speaking to the Jews. Where as Paul is addressing the Gentiles. The Jews were under the law and the Gentiles were without the law.

This is the reason why the law is included in the definition of the gospel, in many churches.

The letter of the law has no place in authentic Christianity.

The law was replaced by the Holy Spirit and will lead you into the real faith, and true holiness.

The problem with the combination of the gospels with Paul's letters. Is that Jesus was strictly speaking to the Jews.
This is simply NOT TRUE. Jesus went out of His way to bring Samaritans to salvation. In fact He said "I MUST NEEDS GO TO SAMARIA". See John chapter 4.

Furthermore the Gospel of John is specifically designed to show that Christ was speaking to the whole human race. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:17). Almost all His sayings and teachings in this Gospel have universal application. For example, is it imperative that absolutely everyone be born again in order to enter and to see the Kingdom of God? There is a very good reason why the Gospel of John is distinct from the three Synoptic Gospel. That is by God's design.

Also there is no "problem" with the combination of the Gospels with the epistles of Paul. Paul BUILDS ON what Christ said, taught, and did. Indeed Paul provides us with a fuller understanding of the Gospel. People come up with these strange notions as if the Holy Spirit is not the ultimate Author of the whole New Testament. Indeed, the whole Bible.

Indeed a perfect summary of what is found in Matthew mark Luke and johns account of the one and only gospel

see the gospel is about eternal life in gods eternal kingdom our resurrection too in Christ he taught us about it in the gospel well before paul ever believed or spoke of it he often summarized like that “ Jesus Christ and also him crucified “ but think of it paul spoke to f many things he didn’t speak of the resurrection on that phrase , dust speak of repentance , baptism , loving one another ect because it’s just one sentance or two out of thousands he’s only summarizing what the gospel is about it’s about Jesus his life on earth ll the miracles and things we read of his suffering and death for us his resurrection his ascention to the throne of heaven after that ….

Everything Jesus taught is what Paul was teaching Paul was a revelator of what Jesus had already established

“It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord….. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:1, 7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This means Paul was revealing things that were always there but not known like this mystery

“For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, if ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: how that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:1-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There’s one gospel it was forst preached to the Jews throughout Israel then the few that believed were sent to all people ( gentiles and Jews ) and all of these peoples are now one people unto God this one people in Christ

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-29‬ ‭

The gospel is this being fulfilled finally

“and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭

“and I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26:4‬ ‭

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:25-26‬ ‭

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

“The problem with the combination of the gospels with Paul's letters. Is that Jesus was strictly speaking to the Jews. Where as Paul is addressing the Gentiles”

the doctrine in the four gospels are what everyone including Paul believed and then preached first to Jews like Jesus did and his other apostles did then like the other apostles he preached to gentiles the gospel is the gospel it was first preached to Jews by Jesus and his apostles

then when he died the same gospel was sent to all people preached by those who believed here’s what happened

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The one and only gospel is now being preached in Israel by Jesus the gospel would be preached to everyone in all nations

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

then jesus died and rose and sent those who believes the gospel tomoresch the gospel to these people not Jews or gentiles but this group

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

paul isn’t even converted to the church yet. And Jesus has sent the one and only gospel to every creature for salvstion to be preached by those who believes him

There is no difference to God if someone is a former Jew or gentile the gospel will save any believer the same forever. It doesn’t matter if a gentile heard from Paul or Peter about Jesus and the gospel it’s whether they hear the gospel

theres not a gospel for Jews and another for gentiles there’s one gospel preached forst to the Jews and then to the gentiles because of their rejection

Paul is an apostle of Jesus no more no less he preached to Jews and gentiles the same gospel of the same kingdom heres more proof

Here’s Paul oreschong to the Jews them rejecting it and him saying now the gentiles will hear it

“And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves. And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, ( including gentiles ) preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:23-24, 28-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s erroneous to try to preach salvstion one way to a Jew and another way to a gentile we’re all the same to God all sinners needing salvation and redemption

Paul is a member of the team Jesus is the lord

has the world ended ? Naw lol the worlds still turning and did Paul preach a different gospel no he didn’t he was a messenger of the one and only gospel.

of course you will wuote Paul sayong “ you’ve heard the gospel that was preached to every creature under heaven “ and try to make the argument this means there’s another gospel ect ect ect but you shouldn’t do that

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we ( the apostles ) have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1:6-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: by whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:1, 3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:30-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There is no other gospel but the gospel God sent a bro the world Paul believed and preached just like anyone else who beliefs to Christ jew or gentile no difference then or now no difference it’s always going to be the same gospel

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There’s one gospel God sent Jesus tomoresch it his apostles including Paul are his servants and witnesses that it’s true and will save those who believe

what jesus said is forever what he did is forever

“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭13:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We can choose this path

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Or this one

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48‬ ‭

Because like Paul clearly taught we all
Have to do this

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I wish hypergracers would read the gospel and then Paul’s letters

If Paul stated that he preached his gospel unto all the world, to every creature under heaven, and to all nations....and yet, the end has not come....what shall we conclude?

There are several gospel messages in the bible, but only one gospel message that should be preached today, that is, how Christ died for our sins, was buried, and resurrected the third day. No other gospel should be preached.

I may seem that Paul was saying when there will be no one to preach to anymore, then it will be the end, no more anyone to preach to. Like when you dig potatoes in the garden and no more potatoes left to dig, that's the end of the garden.

One does not read the word "covenant" and teach that every time the word "covenant" shows up in the bible, it is a reference to the same covenant without exception. There are various covenants in the bible.

And that's just it my friend: Paul received revelation directly from Jesus, and he passed those revelations on to others--the Gentiles as his main target audience/mission.

We can only handle so much power and "revelations" as humans. Our pride becomes out of control, and we think we are special when we're "on top of the world." But, as Paul noted, we need to remain humble. That "thorn in the flesh" was painful, and Paul prayed for God to remove it, but God told Paul, My grace is sufficient for you. Exaltation needs to be tempered with humility, and we need to continually look to God for that grace and meekness we need to live as Jesus desires.

It's interesting that Jesus spoke directly to Paul (Saul at that time) in that remarkable encounter on Paul's trip to Damascus to ramp up his persecution of the church:

Acts 9:4

King James Version

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

The encounter was so profound that Paul was blinded for three days, perhaps from the light that "...shone around him from heaven" (v. 3). This was a powerful conversion experience where Jesus took a Jewish pharisaic persecutor of the church and transformed him into one of the most influential leaders of the Christian faith! Paul's writings have impacted millions perhaps billions of people down to our current age--amazing what our God can accomplish through us if we have that humble and willing commitment to serving the needs of the gospel!

We should bear in mind that God had already chosen Saul (now Paul) from his mother's womb to be His apostle. The following verse sounds like that was even before he was born: But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace... (Gal 1:15). Paul wrote over half the New Testament, and traveled widely to spread the Gospel. He also suffered a great deal for Christ. So there is no question that he is the 12th apostle (replacing Judas Iscariot).

This reminds me of Jeremiah's calling and special ministry as well...

Jeremiah 1:5

King James Version

5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

One of Paul's greatest attributes was zeal. As a Pharisee, he zealously persecuted the church because he felt that was what he was supposed to be doing to suppress a threat to his faith and religion. That zeal carried over into Paul's apostleship--he zealously preached the gospel and sacrificed himself to serve God and His people.
