A friend of mind has finally released his new book. This was on his Facebook page.

Today I received the following comment from an atheist who is reading my newest book, The Atheistic Theist:

"What an incredible book. If only this book had been written years ago or someone directed me to something like it (if there was such a book). Someone like an actual Christian with even the slightest bit of wisdom and discernment. Well I might not have become an atheist."

To say this was encouraging would be quite an understatement.

You even underlined the title, Willie! Your grammar teacher would be so proud!! I get so tickled seeing proper grammar. It's my thing.
Yes, I realize my grammar is horrible sometimes.

LOL I admit I am secretly correcting everyone's spelling and grammar (including my own), in my mind.

I have been told before, by atheists who've turned believer, that sometimes Christians turn others away, because of their lack of walking in the gifts God gave us; common sense and discernment. I wonder, sometimes, if the reason is we get so excited when we first follow God, at all the changes taking place in us and the joy we experience, that we want EVERYONE around us to experience it as well, making us go overboard. As we grow and learn, we walk more in grace than in exuberance, making us better able to see things rationally. I realize that some people will always be overzealous, but that has a place as well, as God can use all things to bring about His glory. Sort of like an artist uses many styles of brush to achieve their desired piece.

I really can't wait to read this book. It's very exciting for me to read something that made an atheist say such things.

I have no idea. He used to keep me in the loop on his books, but I guess he is starting to get some fame these days.... so, I have to wait like everyone else, to see what is going on with him.

Have you read it, yet? It sounds interesting (in an "I've never heard of anything like this" way) from the bit on the amazon page. I'm ordering a copy today.

Some of it. The premise is that people who believe in the One, Everlasting God HAVE to be total Atheists about all these other little gods so many people seem to worship.

I did some proofreading for him. And even after he had had his wife and a number of other people proof one book, I still found 311 pretty serious errors in that book. He may still be 'smarting' some from that episode.
