God tells us what is unbelief in Romans 1:

God reaches out to mankind through Scripture (which is His Word – He is the Author).

So God initiates the contact.

People either turn to God or they turn away from God.

Romans 1 describes what occurs very well:

Romans 1:

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it [the gospel] is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein [in the gospel] is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold [Greek katechō] the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse

vs 16 – the gospel is read by or preached to someone. He or she either believes or does not believe. If the person believes, the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. The gospel is the power of God ... and please note, the words "that believeth" are verb – active (which means the person does the believing).

vs 18 – for those who do not believe the gospel, it is because they suppress the truth in unrighteousness. The words "who hold" are translated from the Greek word katechō which means to suppress, restrain. And, again, the verb is active, which means the person suppresses/restrains.

God's Word does not say they reject because they can only turn to God as a result of being born-again.

God's Word says they reject because they suppress, restrain the truth in unrighteousness when someone teaches them the gospel.

Romans 1:19 goes on to tell us that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. Clearly God provides enough for them to have that which may be known of God is manifest in them and for God to shew it unto them.

And Romans 1:20 tells us God's eternal power and Godhead has been revealed ... that is why those who suppress and restrain the truth in unrighteousness are without excuse.

It makes all of them alive /unto God !

1 Cor 15:22

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

For all whom Christ died, they had an interest in Christ, or else it would not be accurate or appropriate to say that He died for their sins as Per the Gospel 1 Cor 15:3

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

This is not possible if God did not reckon a legal union between Christ and those for whom He died in their place and stead !

In fact its the same legal union reckoned between them and adam of which consequence when he sinned they in him died to God; oh but what blessing it is to have been in Christ legally, because as an consequence of the same, just as in adam we all died and that unto God, likewise as a consequence of being in Christ all shall be made alive and that unto God !

Remember Paul wrote the Roman Believers Rom 6:11

11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

See, we were dead to God through adam, but made alive unto God through Jesus Christ Our Lord and Covenant Head !

This is no if or maybe to be made alive[Unto God] through Christ as it was no if but or maybe that we were made dead to God through and in adam.

Yes, all men in adam before the fall in him were alive to God, sin disrupted that, but those same men in Christ, and Christ doing away with their sins, must be made alive unto God, or it would be concluded that, that which adam did to cause men to be dead to God, is of a greater effect than that which Christ did to offset what adam did, to make them alive again unto God !

Now we know that in the context of 1 Cor 15 the subject matter is that of the Physical and bodily Resurrection of those in Christ, but yet even before that comes to pass, we dare say that a spiritual resurrection from death preceded it, because this context is speaking of and to only believers ! However the believers Physical and Bodily Resurrection was a guarantee before they became believers, it was based on being in Christ and His Resurrection as the First-fruit or their Head ! Just as the Head was made alive again unto God, which is Christ as Per Rom 6:10

10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Then all whom He died in behalf of shall be made alive unto God ! Because He is the Head / First fruit of them !

So if we are one today who believes that one for whom Christ died and rose again in behalf of, can somehow die or meet up with Christ without being made alive to God through Christ, then we are conceding defeat for Christ and victory for the devil, because that one Christ died for never was made alive unto God making evident Christ's Effect to be Superior to adams ! 33

It makes all of them alive /unto God ! 2

You see, all who were in Adam, when he sinned died to God Rom 5:12

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

In God's way of doing things, when the one man adam sinned, all men in him had sinned, and the sentence of death was passed upon all men who sinned in Adam !

The words passed upon are the greek dierchomai and means:

I.to go through, pass through

A.to go, walk, journey, pass through a place

B.to travel the road which leads through a place, go, pass, travel through a region

II.to go different places

A.of people, to go abroad

B.of a report, to spread, go abroad

And the sense is : Death passed through to all men in that no one could escape its power ! Similar to what is said here Rom 5:17,21

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

God caused sin and death to reign suprememly as to no one escaped its power,

Causing all men to be dead to God, it was not a matter of mens choice, but God's Sovereignty !

But, on the other hand, the Good News is, all men who were in Christ when He obeyed, even unto death Phil 2:8; Rom 5:19, Grace , Righteousness and Life are made to reign causing them to be made alive unto God, now if this does not happen, it means that what consequences men suffered in adam, were of greater and superior consequences than what men receive that were in Christ ! That means death reigned superior over God's Grace through Righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord ! 33

Redeemed from the curse of the Law and how ?

Gal 3:13

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, HOW ?being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

We need to understand something here from the jump, being redeemed is equivalent to being saved, being redeemed from the curse of the Law is Salvation, 100 % Salvation and ensures all the Blessings of Salvation !

Its the word exagorazō and means:

I.to redeem

A.by payment of a price to recover from the power of another, to ransom, buy off

B.metaph. of Christ freeing the elect from the dominion of the Mosaic Law at the price of his vicarious death

II.to buy up, to buy up for one's self, for one's use

A.to make wise and sacred use of every opportunity for doing good, so that zeal and well doing are as it were the purchase money by which we make the time our own

Redeemed from the power of the devil !

The end or purpose of this redemption is expressed in Gal 4:5

To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

This Adoption of Sons is receiving a nature that corresponds with and manifests those who have been redeemed as Sons. A nature is given that now combats the nature we have by nature in adam !

John Gill comments on Gal 4:5

that we might receive the adoption of children; by which may be meant, both the grace, blessing, and privilege of adoption, and the inheritance adopted to; both are received, and that in consequence of redemption by Christ; and such as receive the one will also receive the other. Adoption, as a blessing of grace, exists before it is received; nor does the reception of it add anything to the thing itself; it was in God's designation from all eternity, who predestinated his chosen ones unto it by Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will; it was provided, laid up, and secured for them in the everlasting covenant; and is part of that grace given them in Christ before the world began; but sin intervening, whereby the law was broken, obstacles were thrown in the way of God's elect receiving and enjoying this privilege in their own persons; wherefore Christ was sent to redeem them from sin and the law, and by so doing remove these obstructions, that so they might receive this privilege in a way consistent with the righteousness and holiness of God, as well as with his grace and goodness: receiving of it shows it to be a gift, a free grace gift, and not owing to any merit of the creature; faith is the hand which receives it, as it does all other blessings, as Christ himself, grace out of his fulness, righteousness, pardon, &c. and has no more causal influence on this than on any of these; faith does not make any the sons of God, or put them among the children; but receives the power, the authority, the privilege from God through Christ, under the witnessings of the spirit of adoption; whereby they become such, and have a right to the heavenly inheritance, which they shall hereafter enjoy.

Now again, Christ's death is saving in that it redeems all them He died for out of the curse of the Law ! That one fact is Salvation ! Look what David writes about some in regards to God's Law Ps 119:21

Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

All men by nature are proud and err from God's Commandments and so deserve the curse,

But those Christ died for are redeemed from the curse of the Law, they are saved from the curse of the Law which equates to Salvation. The word curse katara means:

I.an execration, imprecation, curse,

what has "to go down" (penalties received) due to condemnation, i.e. the penalty-curse that results when God Himself curses (condemns) something.

men worthy of execration, 2 Peter 2:14; abstract for the concrete, one in whom the curse is exhibited, i. e. undergoing the appointed penalty of cursing, Galatians 3:13; ἐγώ κατάρα

Being under the curse is very solemn thing ! But now how are they redeemed out of the curse of the Law ? Is it by their Faith ? Their Repentance ? 33

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures
 ... read the prior verse, brightfame52 :

1 Corinthians 15:2-3 By which [the gospel] also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures

Let's see what was going on in the church at Corinth which caused Paul to state they believed in vain ...

1 Corinthians 15:

12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

vs 12 – some in the church claimed that there is no resurrection from the dead.

vs 13 – if there is no resurrection from the dead, then the Lord Jesus Christ is not risen.

vs 14 – if the Lord Jesus Christ did not rise from the dead, Paul's preaching is empty and void of truth; and our faith is empty and meaningless.

vs 16 – if the dead rise not, then the Lord Jesus Christ is not raised.

vs 17 – if the Lord Jesus Christ is not raised, our faith is empty and meaningless ... we are still in our sins.

The Lord Jesus Christ died for the whole world ... all descendants of Adam. I have provided Scriptural support for this fact.

Your futile attempt to support your erroneous dogma has once again failed when scrutinized under the light of Scripture.

You are to align your dogma to Scripture and where you are in error, let go of the error.

The verse tells us death passed upon all men ... because all have sinned.

The person who never comes to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and, therefore, will end up being cast into the lake of fire ... he or she will not be cast into the lake of fire because of Adam's transgression. He or she will be cast into the lake of fire because he or she rejected the offering of the Lord Jesus Christ (which is the only means of escape from the judgment/condemnation) ... therefore, he or she stands before God as guilty of the sins he or she committed during his or her lifetime.

Redeemed from the curse of the Law and how ?2

Being under the curse is very solemn thing ! But now how are they redeemed out of the curse of the Law ? Is it by their Faith ? Their Repentance ?

God forbid, it was not because of anything they did or did not do, But it was by this Gal 3:13

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

You see that ? How are People Redeemed out of the Curse of the Law ? By Jesus Christ Himself, their Surety being made a Curse for them !

Thats it folks, that's all that had to be done, God has been satisfied with that, that's Salvation from all sin and its consequences, for as Paul wrote 1 Cor 15:56

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

Hence, none for whom Christ died shall ever hear these words directed towards them Matt 25:41

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

The word cursed here is the exact same word as in Gal 3:13 except its in the verb form, whereas there its in the noun form !

So Matt 25:41 the cursed there cannot possible be any for whom Christ was made a curse for in Gal 3:13, because they whom He was made a curse for, have been redeemed out from the curse of the Law, and all sin , unrighteousness, unbelief, disobedience finds its strength of meaning as it is against the Law 1 Cor 15:56, So Matt 25:41 can only speak of those who never were redeemed from the curse of the Law, which they would have been if Christ died for them a curse as stated in Gal 3:13 ! 34

Christ's Death effects Faith/ Coming to God !

1 Pet 3:18

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

This Faith Coming to God has always been by the Death of Christ, even before He died, that's just how beneficial His Meritorious Death was, that even it effected the Faith in God of the OT Saints 1 Pet 1:20-21

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Again Christ's Death causes Faith in God, a coming to God or bringing to God 1 Pet 3:18, and His Death alone !

Now here in the text, the one having suffered for sin, the Just for the unjust, that is His having been put to death in the flesh, it had a Divine Purpose, it was that [Hina Purpose] He might us bring [Believers/Elect 1 Pet 1:2] to God !

The word bring is the greek word prosago :

I.to lead, to bring

A.to open a way of access, for one to God

i.to render one acceptable to God

B.in a forensic sense, to summon (to trial or punishment)

II.to draw near to, approach

A.the land which a sailor is approaching seeming to approach him See Ps 65:4

The word prosaago is the same word in the Coming of Faith Heb 11:6

The word cometh here proserchomai means:

I.to come to, approach

II.draw near to

III.to assent to

That word assent indicates :

complying ,to act in agreement with or obedience to a wish, request, requirement, or rule , obey, acquiesce !

And so that type of Coming Faith, which Pleases God, is an effect, by-product of Christ having suffered and being put to death in the flesh ! Its another way of how He is the Author of our Faith, OT and NT Saints !

inasmuch as you have no reply to my Post 1588, your Post 1584 has been refuted.

inasmuch as you have no reply to my Post 1589, your Post 1585 has been refuted.

turn to the Lord Jesus Christ that your eyes may be opened

Romans 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Redeemed from the curse of the Law and how
ripping verses from the context within which the Author of Scripture has placed them is improper interpretation of Scripture.

You have ripped Galatians 3:13, 1 Corinthians 15:56, Matthew 25:41 from the context in which the Author has placed them in your futile attempt to align Scripture to your dogma.

You are to align your dogma to Scripture and where you are in error, let go of the error.

The Bible is the Word of God, literally "God-breathed" (2 Timothy 3:16), and we are commanded to read, study, and understand it through the use of good Bible study methods and always with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to guide us (1 Corinthians 2:14). Our study is greatly enhanced by maintaining diligence in the use of context because it is quite easy to come to wrong conclusions by taking phrases and verses out of context. It is not difficult to point out places that seemingly contradict other portions of Scripture, but if we carefully look at their context and use the entirety of Scripture as a reference, we can understand the meaning of a passage. “Context is king” means that the context often drives the meaning of a phrase. To ignore context is to put ourselves at a tremendous disadvantage.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Christ's Death causes Faith in God, a coming to God or bringing to God 1 Pet 3:18
 ...

First of all, it is clear that 1 Peter 3:18 is speaking of those who are already believers as 1 Peter 3:16 speaks of those who have a good conversation (lifestyle ... manner of living) in Christ.

1 Peter 3:16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

God's Word is clear that those who have a good conversation in Christ will suffer persecution from those who speak evil of you, as of evildoers ... unbelievers falsely accuse believers all the time and vs 17 tells us:

1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

It is better for the believer to suffer for well doing as we endure the false accusations of the unbelievers than to suffer at the Hand of God for evil doing.

Now read vs 18:

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit

There is no need for someone who is already born again to have "Christ's death cause Faith in God" ... they already have faith in God.

And reading the verse IN CONTEXT we see that just as the Lord Jesus Christ suffered at the hands of unbelievers, the born again ones shall suffer at the hands of unbelievers.

This section of Scripture reminds me of the record in Acts where the apostles were beaten for preaching the Word of God ... and here's what they said:

Acts 5:

40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
