The benefits of the righteousness:
• “Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. The righteousness of the perfect shall make his way right, but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but deceivers shall be taken in lust.” (Proverbs 11:4-6).
1 – righteousness delivers from wrath (both: our wrath against people and vice-versa) and, obviously, of the death (whether it is spiritual, sentimental, mental or physical). After all, righteousness, among other things, means a flat path (don’t aim at high things – Psalms 131:1; Luke 16:15). These ones only bring the envy against us (Ecc 4:4) and urge contention between brethren, what is abomination before the Creator (Prov 6:19).
2 – righteousness of the perfect shall make his way right in order to hamper them of falling by their own wickedness. Ha-Satan can help someone to climb up to the top of a “mount”; but can you be sure that he will tempt you until you fall down by you cupidity (Prov 1:19; Luke 4:9-11). Only it there is a place where it is impossible to fall: in the ground bowed down in worship under the powerful hand of the Creator (1Peter 5:6).
And, if Jesus exalts you, be careful not to succeed to you what took place with Uzziah (2Chr 26:15,16) and Ha-Satan (Eze 28:17). Recall that all glory, honor, strength, power, blessings, wisdom, thanksgiving only belongs to Jesus (Rev 7:12) and He doesn’t divide this with nobody (Isaiah 42:8). The crown that Jesus put in our head, certainly is for us to have what to put under His feet in the right moment for the glory of His name (Rev 4:10). In other words, He imparts us what is necessary so that we didn’t arrive empty in His presence (Exodus 23:15; 34:20; Deut 16:16).
3 - righteousness of the upright shall deliver them of their lust. Whether we desire or not, all of us are sinners and the only way for being free of the evil the make war against our soul (Genesis 4:7; James 4:1-3; 1Peter 2:1) is being honest with ourselves without swerving to the left and to the right of what Jesus enjoined us (Joshua 1:6-9).
So, have a good week in the rectitude of our Lord Jesus Christ, always considering everyone superior to yourself (Philippians 2:3,4) and keeping their interests above yours.
