Can anyone tell me all that is entailed in keeping the Sabbath. Please don't refer me somewhere else, but tell me in your own words.
I see the Day of the Lord beginning at the Bowl judgements and this is the reason the Sheep/Goat judgement is by works and not Grace. Sabbath was a shadow of things to come also meaning that the Millenial reign will also be called the Sabbath day.
Colossians 2:16 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a sabbath. 17 These are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ
It was an observation. Same as commenting on how Jesus worked on the Sabbath, and how theo.k. but what was the porpose of that satement then?
Sabbatarians should not be on any electronic device on a Sabbath day, that's for sure...Can anyone tell me all that is entailed in keeping the Sabbath. Please don't refer me somewhere else, but tell me in your own words.

Are you sure that is all that is entailed?Do no work that you can the other six days unless you are in a profession that must have workers 24/7 like fire, police, and all medical. If you work, it is to do good for someone or something in a predictament. Do not buy or sell. Do not cause someone else to serve you. PERIOD.
Now that you are freed from the daily grind, you can spend the day with other believers, with family and children, visiting the nursing home, or elderly family, taking nature walks, read a good book, read the Bible, midrash with other believers, eat what was prepared before Friday sundown. Planning ahead for this wonderful day just makes it all the more relaxing and enjoyable. It's hard to have a relationship when you are wrapped up tighter than rubber band ball.
Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Really. So using modern technology to discuss Bible Discussion Forum is to be denied to Torah Observant believers? In just a few minutes I am zooming (modern technology) with the same group I've been zooming with since 2021 to sing, pray, read scriptures and midrash. I'll be there for several hours. However, I can and will pop in to CC to see the discussion here as well. If any are interested in zooming, go to sightedmoon.com and get the zoom address and come and join us. Be ready for mature believers. We are always kind but disrupters will be warned and if they don't straighten up they get the boot.
It was an observation. Same as commenting on how Jesus worked on the Sabbath, and how the
religious leaders wanted to kill Him for it. Obviously the Sabbath is not what many would have
us think. Jesus worked on the Sabbath, countered those who criticized Him because of it, and
said His Father continues to work on the Sabbath also. Jesus answered them, “To this very day
My Father is at His work, and I too am working.” Because of this, the Jews tried all the harder
to kill Him. Not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father,
making Himself equal with God.
So you keep the Sabbath, big deal. Are we supposed to be impressed? Why is it you always see Sabbath keepers going around talking about how they keep the Sabbath: Hey, look at me, I keep the Sabbath. Why don't you ever see anyone waving their arms and yelling: Hey, look at me, I don't keep the Sabbath.
It is a big deal for me. Why belittle others with sarcasm? Is this how the God living in you commands you to treat others?

Well you do need to refer to the Jewish regulations for Sabbath-keeping.Can anyone tell me all that is entailed in keeping the Sabbath. Please don't refer me somewhere else, but tell me in your own words.
Do you have a chapter and verse for this? .Jesus wouldn't even light a candle on the Sabbath.
To be denied? Hmmm. Sabbatarians deny all sorts of things. We had one here who tried to tell usReally. But that's the point. If they can't themselves tell me, how can they be keeping it?Well you do need to refer to the Jewish regulations for Sabbath-keeping.
"The Mishnah and Talmud go to great lengths to carefully define and precisely determine the observance of the Sabbath. The tractate is thus one of the longest in terms of chapters in the Mishnah, and folio pages in the Talmud. It comprises 24 chapters and has a Gemara – rabbinical analysis of and commentary on the Mishnah – in both the Babylonian Talmud and all but the last four chapters of the Jerusalem Talmud. There is a Tosefta of 18 chapters on this tractate."
Sabbatarians need to familiarize themselves with this.![]()
