you missed it lanolin! not talking to highlight myself. didn't even think that way. look at the 1st statement. it describes what i can't do. if i wanted to highlight myself, it would be all about me, don't you think?
I wasn't meaning you
I was just thinking of something else, sorry..sometimes I'm socially oblivious

Drummer's have to have a lot of stamina! I think they must work harder than any
other band member... What is your fave genre of music for playing in a band?
you are totally correct Magenta! yes, we work harder than any other member & we have more to carry. bands like yes, rush, chicago, jethro tull, emmerson, lake & palmer & the easier rock such as journey, b. adams, aerosmith, ufo, foreigner, guess who, the who, etc. my fav was led zeppelin but quite recently the Holy Spirit told me: "no more led zeppelin". that's because they signed a pact with the devil to become famous. john paul;jones was the only member that didn't sign. jimmy page was known for black magic activity.

my favourite drummer/lead sister
a story for you: back in about 1977, karen carpenter won best drummer award. partly because, zeppelin was getting almost all the attention for many years. karen deserves lot's of credit for singing & playing concomitantly. the truth is karen couldn't keep up with bonham for 2 minutes.

Went to a funeral today, some flowers on the casket and left bouquet for the family.

My garden club lady member was always doing arrangements for Hospice. She was a retired nurse so knew how much flowers cheered people up/comforted people.

The bouquet I bought for the family was orchids (they last long) and asiatic lillies. She loved colour so I thought I would give them colourful ones than the somber whites and pastels many funerals often have.

I'm going to buy an orchid for my mom today or tomorrow. To replace the one I killed. Well, we had mosquitoes a couple summers ago and I tried to make all the water in the houseplants unsuitable for them to lay eggs in so I put some apple cider vinegar in the water. The other plants survived but the orchid did not. 😣 I loved that orchid too.

What kind?

Moth? They are quite common now but still a bit pricy

People clone them. Have you ever read The Orchid Thief by Susan Orlean, think it was made into a movie (haven't seen) which starred Meryl Streep, called Adaptation

I am not used to seeing blue orchids - very rare, like seeing a blue rose.
There are lots of other blue flowers - bluebells, hydrangeas, forget-me-nots, borage, hyacinth... some flowers just don't come in all colours, eg you'd never see a yellow sweet pea. There are blue poppies, but they are rare kinds from the usual red, yellow and white.
