Road on Alaskan island was built with some of $223 million in taxpayer money
Ketchikan Mayor Bob Weinstein calls the road a waste of money
Road was supposed to be access connector to the failed 'Bridge to Nowhere'
'Bridge to Nowhere' has become symbol of excessive spending.
Many who follow the Path of Dispensationalism are on the same “road to nowhere”, only spiritually. But the consequences of the Dispensationalist gap are more severe than any other man-made gap leading to a gap where a bridge does not exist.
The Dispensational gap ends with a mere mention of Christ. And continues along a road to nowhere until it arrives at Judaism, a rejection of Christ and a return to animal sacrifices. And Antichrist thousands of years later. A subject change Daniel never mentions. A time warp that turns Jesus into the Antichrist. Rejection of Christ and historic Christianity and a return to Judaism. A damnable heresy according to New Testament teaching. As Peter says,
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” 2 Peter 2:1 (KJV 1900)
As the writer says to the Hebrews.
“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” Hebrews 6:4–6 (KJV 1900)
What both passages describe is the present belief in returning to Judaism and animal sacrifices in a third temple in Jerusalem soon.
Even if the third temple doesn’t come. Or if people make it a self-fulfilling prophecy, it is not biblical according to Christ and believers. But those who believe such have already crossed the line in their hearts. Thinking it possible to replace Christ’s blood with an animal’s blood in the future.
How did this come to be? The gross failure to understand scripture begins with Jesus’ teaching on the spiritual nature of the Kingdom. The Pharisees believed the kingdom prophecies were physical. This is why they missed Jesus and crucified him, even though he as God stood right in front of them.
After he and the kingdom came as foretold. That is, in the time of Daniel’s fourth kingdom, the Roman Empire. They missed it expecting a physical kingdom, the one they still look for instead. But even the Magi knew he would arrive as foretold and came looking for him at the time Daniel said he would.
This doctrine leads Christians through endless years of looking for the Pharisee’s physical kingdom. Only to reveal in their thinking the blood of bulls and goats will one day replace the blood of Christ. In a temple impossible to build because of its missing heights. Any try to build it would amount to adding to God’s words.
