When we receive His Spirit, in my experience, "by a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender ." Dynamite power goes off, the kind of giving that can't be imitated happens, His presence, the mind of Christ happens. In the beginning, sure, we look for anything, what can I obey or believe to keep this amazing gift. But over time we realize, the personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender not only started the relationship, but will maintain and complete it also. With the presence, His Spirit, and mind of Christ still intact.
So any moments of obedience are simply part of His nature flowing through us, not what keeps His nature flowing through us.
So, proper translation would be:
Now without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who approaches God must believe personally surrender to Him and live a life inspired by such a surrender that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

This isn't translation and it certainly doesn't work with the last 2 clauses. You can't see this?Just to clarify.
When the call of the Father happens, when we turn from our way to the direction of the caller, do you see that as an act of "obedience " or simply the correct response we cal repentance. When we take our first step towards Him by "a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender " is that fulfilling the faithing mandate or is that an act of obedience.
Maybe what you call obedience, is what I call the correct response.

JESUS told HIS disciples not to go out without it since I am on a sight where there is so many different beliefs not all are bible I have to ask you.
This is what happened to the first one to be filled with the Holy Ghost after JESUS ascended in Acts 1.

This is what Peter said which confirms when you get it what happens,

JESUS says in Mark 16,
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Is that what happened to you?

Ouch, I haven't picked up on any rudeness at all. My fear is that my frankness may be seen as something it's not. I have inch thick skin from trying to warn others about pisteuo for the last 30 years in forums just like this one. I hope your not sensing to much of that.
When I read your first post this am, it prompted me to write something i never talked about on the forums. After 20 minutes of writing I deleted it. It's just to long of a testimony to post on a forum like this. Then, you asked a specific question about exactly what I deleted.
It's extremely rare to be asked what I call the right question or questions. So rare that if and when it happens, it catches me by surprise. The reason your question about the experience of the Holy Spirit is rare, it's because your able to look through the flawed vessel to what is really important. And that's how God works, how does one receive the Holy spirit, understand how it happened, how it's maintained.
I'll try to communicate a condensed version of it.
The answer to your first question is no, it wasn't exactly like Pentecost. I understand Pentecost to be a first fruit offering and wouldn't be the norm for us.
My experience, I was at a severe low point in my life in 87. I went to my church where I had gone to school for 10 years for help. The pastor told me to go somewhere else. So I did. I met someone who witnessed me begging for someone to help me.
Short version, he introduced to me a covenant with God that's main part was making a decision to turn my life and will over to God. I'm passing over alot, but he basically help me make this covenant with God, gave me a couple of prayers and told me to say them each morning and every night, all day if necessary. He told me that my problems are Gods now and that my only purpose was to carry this message to others the way he did with me.
So I took it very seriously, I'm turning my life and will over to God all day long, going with him to help establish this covenant others. Weeks went by working with 6 to 10 people a week. I was homeless living in my car, but was the happiest I had ever been. I remember sitting in the bed in a hotel room e few weeks after my initial surrender. I distinctly felt this numbness in the middle of my forehead, which I didn't understand. But I did also notice a presence start to happen which I knew was Jesus. That presence over the next months got so strong it was overwhelming. And the numbness in the middle of my forehead had now encompassed my entire head. It felt like someone is pouring warm oil on my head continually.
After a year of this I could feel His presence slowly decreasing, which caused me to panic. I was now on a quest to find out what happened, how it happened, and mostly how to keep it. I remember going to every church and listening to every preacher i could find in a mad dash to hold onto this presence. I explain it like trying to hold water in the palm of my hand, I can't see where it's going, it's just going , and there's nothing I can do to stop it.
It was about a year + that I finally heard a preacher talk about the Holy spirit and how it works with faith and faithing understood correctly. He had validated my experience to the tee. He was validating all the things that had happened prior to me finding him.
I spent the next 15 or so years working with 100s of others to begin this covenant with God, learning everything i could about the salvation process. It was then were i ran across the Vines Greek dictionary . And in it under pisteuo was the exact thing that the guy at the beginning told me to do to start a covenant relationship with God. He told me, make a decision to turn your life and will over to God. The Vines definition of saving faith, "a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender. " that word is used 248 times in the NT. It wasn't just surrendering my life to Him every. It was the living a life inspired by such surrender that was equally important.
It's been 38 years and His presence never left. That feeling of warm oil dripping off my ears and eyelids or like I'm wearing some kind of helmet, is just as strong as it was 38 years ago.
I've only told this to my wife and kids once when I thought I was dying from an unknown illness 20 years ago. The reason I never told anyone about this is i thought it was something only between me and Him, the secret part of the relationship.
It's been almost impossible to persuade others to the true understanding of faith and faithing. Now that this is out there, anyone who I decides to respond to the Fathers call with a continually surrendered life has the added burden of making a genuine surrendered life with this knowledge. A genuine surrendered can't have any expectations of something in return. Otherwise, that wouldn't be a surrender, but a business deal.
If your a good Bible student, seeing what happens when the Holy spirit happens is not hard to find. But the mind of Christ, the Bible gives no information on what happens. Knowing that, i kept it secret and not available to be parroted by others. You would have to have had the experience to know, and to see it in others.

GODS word is so deep and so much to understand sometimes we may put two or more things together.

I don't know any other way but telling it the way it is, of course I don't share my opinion and if I do I tell that person it's my opinion not to cause any confusion.
Men's opinion is the problem, so I normally ONLY share HIS word.
I like Paul in Acts 19 like to ask questions to find the problem, I call Paul a doctor in Acts 19. He finds his patients asks questions, diagnoses the problem and tells them how to fix it.
Doing so I have found SO SO many different opinion which do not line up with HIS word, challenge them and sadly they nothing happens the best of my knowledge they stay with their personal opinions and not HIS word, SO CONFUSING to me.
There are MANY people here who do not follow HIS word and are know it all hard as rock.

I'm not sure why you call the day of Pentecost the first fruit offering, I also have never heard that.
The only first fruit offering I have hear of is when we do something we give JESUS the first fruits not HE gives us.
Acts 1, JESUS told HIS disciples not to go out with out it, in the 4 cases (Acts 2,8,10 and 19) or examples in the book of Acts of people being reborn they all had the same components as Acts 2:38-39 John 3:5
They all believed, repented, baptized in JESUS name and was filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues like JESUS filled HIS disciples in Acts 2:4.

I know when I went to the front of the church, which I would never do, do to pride or something but went up and the pastor prayed for me when JESUS came inside of me my cup ran over and over. I was sweating, nose running, eyes running WHAT WAS THAT???

Anyone who has the Spirit knows how consuming the constant forefront thoughts concerning all things of God are. How it is impossible for the loss of faith (knowing) is impossible. Confirmation of the truth it wields, and the inner changes it dominated.

That's not what the bible says. Also faith is not knowing, if that's what you're saying
In case your having a hard time seeing my experience as biblical, about 20 years in , this happened.
My instructor was teaching on psalms 23:5. He was focusing on the phrase, "you annoint my head with oil." He said in the Hebrew it reads, "you make my head "fat" with oil." And that it was a complimentary term of that day. That there were spiritual fat heads running around.
So that tells me that others besides David were having this experience.
My instructor teaching this not having any clue that this could happen to someone in today's age, much less someone listening to him at that moment.
I'm not declaring this to elevate myself, I'm saying this to try and persuade others to consider the facts I'm sharing about pisteuo and saving faith.

Ouch, please read rediscovering pisteuo thread . The word "believe " in the scriptures you shared is a mistranslation.
I think you are assuming the common English definition of believe is somehow deceiving many Christians. You may be correct, but many grey haired types have spent countless hours seeking a proper sense of the original intentions of the translators. I don’t know of any seasoned Christian who mistakes ”easy believism” with the deeper aspects of its extended definition.
Agreed, but it's more than just a surrendered life. It's a life inspired by such surrender.
Are we genuinely surrendering our life and will to Him? Are we living a life that includes making the 100s of daily decisions supporting the surrendered life? Do we make decisions that support our wellbeing or proving to God that the surrendered life is the most important thing?
Meeting this precondition, is a requirement to stand on anything in Gods word!
