Hello @natalie888, yes, I've watched it and am thankful for it. BTW, if you don't want to rejoin Amazon, you can watch all of the seasons/episodes of The Chosen, for free, in a number of other places, such as this: https://watch.thechosen.tv/

This is also The Chosen app too.

God bless you!!

p.s. - a number of articles have called The Chosen's use of "backstories" into question because they are not taken directly from the Bible (though some are clearly taken from Jewish/Christian traditions). They were added to enhance the storytelling, drama, character development and enjoyment of the series, but again, they are not taken directly from the Bible. The good news is that these backstories are always things that "could" have been true, and most importantly, they do not lead viewers away from the important Biblical truths that The Chosen is hoping to lead their viewers toward (y)

So, if you have any questions about The Chosen as you're watching it, why not come back here and ask them so that we can discuss them with you :)

Hey thanks for the link I will give it a try :)
They presented it at Church. Captivating like few others I have seen. But really, did you see the report and image a couple of months ago of someone on-set production time and in promotional form, displaying 'LGBTQ' banners in clear view?

Hello PAC-fit, I believe that it was a rainbow flag sticker that was attached to one of the videographer's cameras (IOW, it had nothing to do with the beliefs/teachings of The Chosen as a whole, rather, it's something that is personal to that cameraman, alone).

However, it resulted in enough of an uproar that a short video was made about it by the show's producer/director, a video that I'm sure you can still find on YouTube, The Chosen's Facebook page, at
https://watch.thechosen.tv/ or on the app (if you'd care to hear what he had to say about it).

God bless you!!

p.s. - if memory serves, The Chosen was produced, first and foremost, to help lead people to saving faith in Christ, and it has been very successful in doing so, not only with its worldwide audience, but with many (most?) of its non-Christian staff members, too :)(y)(y)

And maybe the fact of financial ties to LDS.

Hello HeIsHere, yes, that's another controversy (the original one, I believe). Two things are fortunate, first, that The Chosen never promotes LDS specific theology/teachings (as @Gideon300 mentioned above), whether on screen or off, and two, that (thanks again to @Gideon300) you can easily hear what The Chosen's producer/director has to say about this controversy if you'd like to, as it's included for us in the post just above this one :)

God bless you!!

BTW, I believe that Season 1 (and perhaps Season 2) of The Chosen were filmed in the Holy Land, but now, thanks to the life-sized Jerusalem set (in Utah, I believe) that the LDS church has allowed The Chosen to use, the last seasons were all and will be filmed and produced here in the States instead (so that is, indeed, a financial tie to the LDS church, but, at the same time, a GREAT advantage to the production of The Chosen, as the reduced cost to make The Chosen must be tremendous as a result :)). Hopefully The Chosen will choose to stay on the theological course that they have already set for the final two seasons, as well!

p.s. - here is part of the Jerusalem set (in Utah), but with a couple of musicians using it instead of The Chosen in this case.

Why would I trust someone I do not know.

I do not...especially people who make money from marketing Christ Jesus and are not faithful to the Gospel (see the scene with Nicodemus) one with plenty of modern day embellishments to make him marketable.

I'm loving it so far, learnt this from it
"But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine."

it was so beautiful when Jesus healed mary M. I didnt know about this or her demons! I related to it alot, past trauma and mental health issues. This is why the world needs him so much now, alot of people are tormented in this way
