The Church is always ready to comfort, vivify, hear, sympathize with, win and help to win (Part 2).

Note how obedience to this verse enables the Church to corroborate each item of the promise quoted in Revelation 21.4:

  • “And there will be no more death” - Jesus is the Word of the Creator who brings life to all who encounter Him, in addition to making them a source of water that jumps into eternal life (Jn 4.13,14; 7.37-39).

  • “And there will be no weeping” - whoever answered the Creator's words and received His consolation very present in anguish (Ps 40.1), is ready to serve as consolation (2Cor 1.3-5), that is, of cheer in the midst of struggles (see how the Creator treated Elijah's depression - 1 Kings 19).

  • “And there will be no outcry” - whoever listens to the Creator's reasons is able to hear the despair of others, suffer together with them, seeking in Christ the victory that will, now, be for both (hence the reason why those who believe in Jesus is more than conquerors - Rm 8.37).

  • “And there will be no pain” - Jesus' word is health for the whole body.

  • “As palavras suaves são favos de mel, doces para a alma, e saúde para os ossos.”. (Prov 16.24).

  • “because the first things are already passed” - whoever does not let their eyes go away from what Jesus says is always coming to His throne to reach His mercy (Heb 4.16) which is renewed every day (Lm 3.22,23) and enables us to walk in newness of life (Rom 6.4; 7.6; 2Co 5.17).
