Originally, when I was growing up, one of my friends heard my distress over family relations and said to me "You should join a cult!"
So, I took my friend's advice, and when I saw some beautiful LDS missionaries walking door to door, down my street, I immediately knew it was my time to shine! I walked up to them and introduced myself. They asked what gives me peace, and I told them how marijuana gives me peace (I was estranged from the Lord at that point in my life), and they gave me a Book of Mormon and encouraged me to pray about whether the LDS Church and Book of Mormon, were true. So, I downloaded the audiobook of the Book of Mormon and listened to the whole thing. It mimics the language and themes of the King James Bible. Although it's considered "another testament of Jesus Christ," most of the literature focuses on the supposed "Lamanites" and "Nephites" of the early Americas, decedents of Israel. NOT on Jesus or his Word. That's why I say, it's not "another testament" it's a "false testimony." If Jesus came to the Americas, and hosted thousands of Native Americans, feeding them all bread and fish, and teaching the crowds about his Father in Heaven. If he taught his disciples to "feed my sheep...." then I might believe the story. However, in reality... all these stories were conjured up by Joseph Smith, a criminal, who translated some golden tablets by using a "sear stone" in a hat while sticking his face in it. He came up with all this BS from some sort of trick. OMG! He must really be a prophet!
But as for the rest of the LDS church, I believe they go to hell over tea and coffee. They claim they are the only Church with a prophet as president. They believe all of their Church Presidents have been prophets. So, if original scripture of the Book of Mormon, and Doctrine & Covenants was written in English. Why did subsequent Church Presidents have to reinterpret "hot drinks" into "coffee beans and tea leaves?" Not realizing that true Word of Wisdom comes from Holy Scripture, which is the very Bread of Life, the Word of God. Nothing can substitute it, there will be many that come in his name, saying "listen!" but they are antichrists... which means, "instead of Christ" NOT AGAINST Christ. So where does this lead me?
They are and always will be a cult. They have shunned me for my attitude towards their church and my continuation of drinking mild drinks. They have disowned me before others, I will not EVER step foot in another LDS Church again in my lifetime. I got baptized Roman Catholic in 2020 anyways.
