I was scared to death of asparagus until just a few years ago. Then I tried some and didn't mind it.

I don't know how to cook. I don't think vegetables should be over-cooked, though.

vegetables shouldnt be cooked at all (apart from potatoes,), they should be steamed or raw

I eat vegetables in my store-bought frozen dinners. They are okay.

You can ask the deli people to slice them! It would seem weird but I'm sure you could pursuade them if they're nice.

Why not a farmers market that slices & packages vegetables, fruits or w/e.
