And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.”

now it says man has corrupted creation and God is repenting for even creating us on earth and giving us dominion and the creator now becomes the destroyer of his creation that he had made

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”
Genesis 6:7, 11-13 KJV
So now the Bible all by itself tells us by the tenth generation of man , God who said it was very good when he made everything and gave it to man , now is saying it repents me that I created them , they’ve corrupted my ways on the earth and filled it with violence essentially he’s saying
“mankind has ruined my good creation now I will destroy them and the earth in my repentance “
And , this is chapter six of the Bible. Already creation has reached its first cyclical end. Creation to the destruction of the flood covers six chapters of the first book. Eight if your picky.

sorry about the length my point is this is a pattern that recurs in scripture God makes a covenant with a man and his seed and eventually his offspring violate the covenant and curse thier inheritance adam and his generations his seed was earth, Noah and his seeds inheritance of thier new covenant also is earth after it’s been washed clean of evil by the flood
you see how God creates what is good , gives man an estate and dominion a place to rebuke under him as children , man sins and violates and perverts Gods covenant and disregards his word which is the covenant law whichever covenant He speaks is his covenant.

“This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: that ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
..But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the ( visable ) heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things ( our whole creation ) shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God,
wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

See Peter is heartening us back to Noah’s day because it’s a lesson for us in Christ. This creation really is going to be flooded with fire and Destroyed even the people we need salvation from this like Noah needed salvstion from the flood
