what makes anything holy?

Christ said "be holy" -- are your hands holy? are my hands holy? how is it so?

when God spoke to Moses at the burning bush, why did the Lord call the ground there holy? is it still holy now?

it doesn't matter. these are just words, and i see these words are taking you, little brother, into scorn & disbelief, causing divisions & moving you to accuse your brothers and sisters of all heresy & idolatry. i don't want to further that.

what is important is that we understand that God's gift to us, Christ crucified & resurrected - the glory of his grace & power - only through this are we ourselves sanctified & consecrated to Him, only through this are we set apart to Him, and only through His righteousness, through His sacrifice, are we able to have communion with Him.

when i say "but for the cross" i don't mean a stick of wood; i mean the great work of God done on that bit of dead tree. this confusion is why it's said 'the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those that are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.'

You believe the wood, the actual cross of Jesus is holy. Were the nails holy? The nails drew out the blood, the precious blood, of Jesus. Are they holy? How about the spit from the mockers, is the spit holy?

Pray tell. Just answer. Yes or No.

So now you change your position. Earlier you had everything under the sun as being holy. Now you say differently.
