I ran across the explanation of this a few months ago. It is some insulation that fell off the spacecraft. They even know which piece because of the shape.

Of course .... if "they" didn't know what it was, would you expect "them" to admit it or make something up, ... like an insulation blanket?

I really would like to see a picture of the insulation that it is supposed to be. I certainly would prefer it to be something mundane, like insulation, but after looking at it again this morning, it does look a bit odd to be random insulation, and what would cause such a piece of insulation to just pop off. Not the wind.


Of course, if this were important enough for me to resolve, I would put the time in to identify which specific piece of insulation it is (or confirm that it could not possibly be insulation), but, I've other things I'd rather do today.

So, I remain dubious but open.

Sounds like fiction to me. How can experts know that the object began orbiting earth some 13,000 years ago? Where they there to witness it? No. Also, the universe and everything it is only around 6,000 years old. It's impossible on both accounts. This sounds like the stuff of conspiracy theorists.
