When, in full uniform, people would come up to me in the restaurant I worked in and ask if I knew where the bathroom was I would just say, "Oh...no. I've been here 3 years and they still haven't told me!"

This reminds me of the bank teller who just kept yelling louder and louder in English her answers to a hispanic gentlemen who didn't understand her. He wasn't deaf. He just didn't speak English well. :/
People do that to my mother all the time. They will get right in her face and yell. So what do I do? I get up in their and say "HEY! SHE IS BLIND NOT DEAF!"

People have aske inteprteters if deaf people use Braille. Don't they know that Braille is for blind people?????

I was once asked "Sir, do you know the number for 9-1-1?"

I responded "Yes, it is 1-800-Get-A-Clue"

I walk a lot. I dont drive. It's common for me to walk 10-12 miles a day, but on an off day like when I head off to lunch with some friends after church I say let's walk. They're answer is: "are u crazy?" No, it's across the street you bum!

What's the dumbest question you've ever been asked?

This may not be a stupid question, but it is a true story. When I still lived at home, my mom had
a cat that ate noting but fried Holy Farms chicken. (The cat ate better than me). She would
fry up chicken and let it cool, then cut it up in small bite sizes for the cat.

So, one day I got a phone servey call wanting to know if we had a pet. I said yes, a cat.

Caller: Does it eat dry food?
Me: No.

Caller: Does it eat canned food?
Me: No

Caller: (Slight pause) Does it eat the moist food that comes in packages?
Me: No

Caller: Well, what does it eat??!!
Me: Fried chicken. Not just any fried chicken, but Holy Farms fired chicken

Caller: EXCUSE ME! (and hangs up)

How to get into the box surrounding Shetland. This one is hard to explain if you have never seen a uk weather forecast but basically Shetland appears in a box as it is too far north to fit on the screen, someone asked me how to get into it. I made up a whole story about visas and genealogy and patrols walking the walls and lots of other rubbish.

What's the dumbest question you've ever been asked?

All my stupid questions can boil down to working customer service:

Customer: Do you have any Bret Michaels albums?

Me: Do you want just Bret Michaels or are you looking for Poison as well?

Customer: Bret Michaels was in Poison?

-----

Me: Just so you know, our return policy is changing. Starting the first of next month you have 14 days to return any items you purchase.

Customer: *looking horrified* But what if I want to keep them?

-----

Customer: *standing on the inside of the store after having just stepped in through the front door* Excuse me, miss? Where's the front door of the store?

-----

Me: Okay to get your teacher's discount I just need to see your school photo ID.

Customer: Why?

Me: Well we need it to verify that you are a teacher so we can give you the extra discount.

Customer: What?! Do you actually think someone would lie just to get a discount?!

----

Customer: Oh there's another book out about Hitler? I wonder what he's up to now...

Me: Just so you know, our return policy is changing. Starting the first of next month you have 14 days to return any items you purchase.

Customer: *looking horrified* But what if I want to keep them?

This one made me laugh out loud with a face palm :D

I teach high school... so dumb questions are kinda a daily event.

One of the funniest recently:

Me: "Okay, we'll open the concert with 'Away in a Manger'."
Student: "Ms. C, did you just say 'Lil Wayne in a Manger'?!?!"
Me: "Yes. Yes, I did."

And this wasn't a question... but as we were working on the words to a choral arrangement of 'Ave Maria':

Student: "Ms. C, I can't sing this! I'm not Bohemian!"
Me: *over the laughter of the class* "Sweet girl, this is in Latin."
Student: "Well I'm not Latin either!"
