Perhaps if you buried your strawman deeper in your posts some might be fooled into actually reading them? Just a suggestion.
I live Romans 10:9-10. You, on the other hand are a blasphemer, and you think it's funny.
It seem to me in my daily dealing with people, both lost and saved, in the world and on CC, that their definition of sin is much more narrow than the Scripture and mine definition.
They simply do not see the sin in their life, and when we admit sin, they only think of lying, stealing, adultery etc.
There is much more to failing God/sinning than most believe.
It's true, those who try to support ongoing sin most always quote that verse by itself taken out of context. Just bringing the Truth to light.![]()
Yes, no one advocates believers living in ongoing sin as being acceptable. Free grace theology, however, does.
I want you to believe unto righteousness, that's what I preach. That's not funny, but your attitude really cracks me up.![]()
YOU want me too... Wow, you have a god complex. You know what's funny? Your cowardice behavior and inability to answer my question from post #4. Answer it; you've already answered by proxy that you're a sinner.I want you to believe unto righteousness, that's what I preach. That's not funny, but your attitude really cracks me up.![]()
The "verse" wasn't your strawman.......![]()
You beat me to it!The only problem is this passage is talking about Christs righteousness, Not your own..
Gods standard is higher than even yours..

Have you set a date yet for when you plan to no longer commit any sins? This is what I preach....
Some folks will tell you that in this life you can never be free from sin, and that you will always sin, and be in sin. But this my friends is not of faith in the good news gospel and power of God in Jesus Christ. That is another gospel, and doctrine of doubt in what the power of God can do you in your life by faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus came to save us from our sins, to cleanse us from all iniquity, and to also make us free from sin, and to also give us the power by the grace of God so that sin shall not rule over you, but rather righteousness.
Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
1 John 5:17 “All unrighteousness is sin:….” Jesus cleanses us from all sin>>>1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. = 0 sins left after cleansing. And then he empowers us by His Spirit and by Christ working in us (seed of promise) to remain sin free>>>1 John 3:9 “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” = being “In Christ” and not being “in sin”.
Being made free from sin….
Romans 6:3-7 "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?[SUP]4 [/SUP]Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.[SUP]5 [/SUP]For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:[SUP]6 [/SUP]Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.[SUP]7 [/SUP]For he that is dead is freed from sin.”
Romans 6:18 “Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
Romans 6:20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
John 8:34-36 “Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.[SUP]35 [/SUP]And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
[SUP]36 [/SUP]If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
So don’t doubt the power of God in Christ Jesus, but rather believe. Peace
I'm not angry at all. I pity you.No need to get angry. Smile![]()
I don't build straw mans, but I do like to tear them down before they get built. (like nip em in the bud)![]()
This emotional compromise and distortion you speak of is a common thing regardless of the persons beliefs but as for hp not properly embracing the gospel to begin with is a pretty big assumption as we cannot group together people simply because of a doctrine they hold that would imply we know their hearts and their relationship with God.
Wait! Not yet! I need more popcorn! Then, by all means, point us to those you are referencing here who support ongoing sin.
No, actually it does not, Not sure who ever thought this.
Grace is free (to the receiver) however it was paid with a price (the cross)
the last things a person who truly has faith and recieved this true grace, would NEVER think it is ok to sin.
That's a lot of fancy talk for, "My grace is sufficient."I agree with you, but I am looking for a common thread, brother.
I have shared things very close to my heart and stirring, yet across the board the
HG guys did not bat an eyelid, they simply did not understand.
A lot of their theological steps do not work for me because of my emotional background.
So it struck me that the emotional theme is probably why HG dualism appeals to them.
A dualistic theology fits a dualistic psychology. And this also means no argument
is going to change their position, because it is not founded either on the Lord or
on argument but on disposition. One aspect of this condition is shutting out emotions
so emotional appeals will mean nothing to them. A common theme in their backgrounds
will be emotional trauma and addiction, which are not resolved so repressed, off limits.
So for them spirituality is a form of peace and resolution, but movement from this will
be completely rejected and everyone saying movement or growth is a good idea are evil.
And yes this occurs elsewhere in society, but this group who continually dominate discussions
with only one string on their bow, are not helpful, to any degree.
Yes, no one advocates believers living in ongoing sin as being acceptable. Free grace theology, however, does.
Then, by all means, point us to those you are referencing here who support ongoing sin.
