What do you think of this from a Christian perspective?

My thinking is that it is disturbing to witness the power of the tongue at work, as the Book of James warns us. Just a few words of conjecture and the internet is mocking this couple. Everyone has an opinion it seems, based on a few seconds of filming.

Complete strangers are assuming a great deal, the hordes have become judge, jury and executioners. Jobs and relationships of the couple are potentially ruined.

Granted, they may well have been having an affair, yet it is appalling how this has played out. I cannot but keep in mind how Jesus dealt with the adulteress who was about to be stoned. He showed mercy.

Aside from an article that the CEO stepped down, I've not come across much on the topic. I propose that if one is coming across a lot of stuff on topics of that sort, that their time might be better spent elsewhere.

I agree, but this whole matter is hard to avoid, it's gone 'viral'.

I'm not sure what you're talking about? Will you post the article, please, because I don't see it?

The easy way to get away from it is to not click on the link.
Why do so many people waste time on such trash?

This is actually the first time I've clicked a link, and that was just because of @2ndTimeIsTheCharm's request for a link.

I don't listen to or care about Coldplay and I don't visit many sites online, yet it's all over the place....at this point, it's mostly people making jokes about it.

This isn't an open affair but a closed one. However that's none of our business. The issue was that he was dating a subordinate and not previously disclosing it to the company so he had to resign.

Everyone in the company probably knew about it anyway. I can't think of a more public announcement than being at a ball game.

Losing a job over it is pretty drastic, but he should have remembered ethics training and filled out the necessary forms. Probably his circle knew but not the minions.

the executives probably knew, and the minions probably suspected it was going on.

I don't think people have assumed anything, just that two cheaters got caught in a very public way. He was having an affair, how do you think his wife felt finding out that way? It don't feel sorry for either of the cheaters. They brought it on themselves. Jesus would tell the husband to go back to his wife and her to stay away from married men.

Have you found yourself wondering how you could prevent the shame and horror of having it found out that you're being unfaithful to your spouse while canoodling with a fellow executive at your company at a public event? One simple trick is all it takes.

  1. Don't cheat on your wife.

Like magic! Following this 1-step process, and you'll be guaranteed to never be caught cheating on your wife with your HR chick at a Coldplay concert. EVER."

PS: That was from the Babylon Bee in case you missed the credit I.D. at top.
I'm wondering if anyone knows if that picture has been doctored or not?
I haven't looked into this until it reminded me of the BB "press release."

It is an example of the foolishness of these last days, during the coming end of the age before our Lord returns. Sooner the better I think.

People no longer know how to mind their own business. It is frightening how quickly one can become famous or rather, infamous, on the internet. Words or actions are made public very fast and can ruin lives.

The cruelty and hatred spread by words on the internet is astonishing and very scary. Mocking and attacking is now commonplace.

It always has been commonplace. It's just easier to see now how vastly common. Language and borders were for a reason. Erasing them by various means is not good but is inevitable.
