The End Is Near? :S

This is something i worry about quite often. I have my ups and downs with my faith and i was wondering does anyone else believe the end is not far off? I mean about Revelation etc. I believe lots of things are happening in the world and i do think it is all starting. Do you agree or not?
 
I do not agree. The bible clearly states that the end of times "will come like a thief in the night". Rapture nowadays is a rather hot item, every talks about it. I do not consider that as a "thief in the night".
 
The end is certainly near and though no one knows the hour it will also come as a thief in the night. So anyone who says it is not near, it will come as a thief to them, because they are not expecting it. Many will try to put it off in their minds, but this has nothing to do with God.

But we should ALWAYS be prepared, because in the hour we think not, then the end will come.

I guess I'm not hugely concerned with that which is beyond my control, and in control of God.

I can however save people.

Its near. Anyone who looks at the way the world has changed in the last 100 years knows that things are escalating at a rapid pace. Technology, natural disasters, the decline of christianity and removal of God from government and society, the rising popularity of atheism, the poles shifting, the building of the hadron collider which is capable of producing black holes, computers making human relations less personal and more abrasive, etc...

I keep being reminded of when Jesus said "The word will be preached to all nations, and then the end will come." There aren't many nations where it hasn't been preached. They even have christian churches in China now.
 
Can't remember what book this is from but I do remember - "for the judge is standing at the door"

I look forward to when Jesus comes back and all of us live in a renewed creation

We need to rest in Jesus finished work at the cross.........obey and seek God, but remember we can't do anything to earn our salvation.

I reckon He'll come soon, but like I heard Paul Washer say, either He comes here, or in about 60 years, maybe more maybe less, we go there.......so we all need to make sure our calling sure, and share the gospel with as many others as possible
 
Every generation has said the end is near. Honestly, I can't say if it is or isn't near, but it's not something we really need to worry about.
 
The "end" should be a purifying influence that motivates us to holy lives and to preach the gospel.
 
Why worry about the end, instead just enjoy your life to the fullest as it's the only one you can be certain of.

Luke 12:17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
Luke 12:18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
Luke 12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

Luke 12:21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

that is true, we should enjoy life, but Jesus DID say WATCH AND PRAY...putting our head in the sand and saying life will go on as usual is ignorant.

It's not ignorant if you are constantly worrying then you can't be enjoying life to it's fullest and if " the end " is near then there isn't much you can do about it except spend every moment like it's your last and have no regrets.
