I don’t think there’s any reason to believe that. You could just as easily say they are secretly working for the Democrats.
It’s an old, bureaucratic organization that doesn’t get swayed into partisan politics easily.

If they are like most government workers, they are Democrats and if possible would work against him.
Quite the OPPOSITE. They have been working to destroy Trump ever since he decided to run for office. Why he did not clean house on day one is extremely puzzling. Comey and the whole gang at the top of the FBi and DOJ should have been fired within the first week. Including Sessions who betrayed Trump overnight.
That may have been true until Obama took office. After that the FBI was totally partisan.
Feds tend to be slightly older, better-educated and are more likely to be military veterans than the rest of the U.S. workforce. And they are everywhere, presenting an intriguing demographic.

Because the Republicans have the majority and the VP happens to have the tie breaking vote - the President and the Republicans held the strategic winning hand in this political poker game.
While the Democrats were driving to have the vote of public opinion sway and influence the norm for 'Due-Process' -
The Republicans merely agreed to a ONE WEEK FBI investigation to get the perception monkey off of their back...
This was a very clever winning strategic tactic as it enabled 3 out of the 4 critical voters to be able to reflect upon their previous deliberations as well as the limited FBI investigation as the basis for their deciding votes... The limited duration FBI investigation allowed all those who voted Yes a legitimate means to save face with their constituents...
The simple reality is that One Week provides the perception of agreeability and 'due-process'; while in reality it is completely unrealistic to expect that they could come to any other outcome in that limited amount of time - as their outcome is consistent with the FACTS that were presented during the Hearings...
Unfortunately, many people struggle to grasp the difference between availability of FACTS and 'Public Opinion'...
I love this comment, because based on this opinion, we can have faith in the FBI findings and there is nothing to collaborate allegations against Judge Kavanaugh. And the allegation made by the Democrats' the FBI is working for Trump can be considered ludicrous.
