The Feast of Trumpets or Day of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah means "Head of the Year" because it marks the beginning of the Jewish civil calendar. This Feast also commemorated the end of the agricultural year (29th day of the month/Elul).
Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah started on the 1st day of Tishrei. Day of Atonement/Yom Kippur fell on the 10th day of this month & the Festival of Booths/Tabernacles began on the 15th day in the month of Tishrei.
