I know you don't believe there are satellites that orbit around the earth although we can actually see them and predict them accurately when they will pass overhead, so explain how is it that when I watch my TV that is supplied via satellite I can view stuff from the other side of the earth in real time? bearing in mind that satellite transmission can only travel in a straight line?
 
By the way Mythbusters tv show already busted this myth and showed that it can flow either way in the northern hemisphere. I'd say it's only coincidence if it does it the right way it's supposed to in whatever hemisphere you are in unless the conditions of your sink and water are ideal for it to happen.

haha..I tried to drain two different basins but there was no vortex in either of them until the very last bit of water which I could not see clearly the direction...will have to do a Mythbuster maneuver soon

Good point. Obviously GPS is a myth.

How can you get reception from the other side of the earth if the signal travels in a straight line, unless it goes through the earth?
 
There's a postulate known as Rule 34, which says that if something exists, you can find porn of it on the internet. This is, in fact, just the consequence of a larger principle: If the human mind can conceive something, it will be expressed on the internet in some way.

The Earth is flat I just read it as I was looking up British-Israelism which I had never heard of until reading another thread on CC and then Greatkraw mentioned it agian. Simply amazing! But I don't want to stop this thread from turning or moving so . . .I will wait for the water study results.

If water drains in a toilet and no one is there to see it, does it form a vortx?

Firstly there are some statellites that a Geostationary these are used for communications and they are parked motionless at 22,300 miles (35,900km) above the equator of the earth. Orbiting satelilites which include space shuttles and the international space station which keep a low orbit (LEO) approx 215 miles (346 km) above the surface of the earth, to avoid the humans inside being roasted alive in the Van Allen radiation belts. You may notice a very large distance between satellites that a Geostationary (non-moving) and moving satellites which occupy a space much much closer to the earth. Then there are medium earth orbit sateliites (MEO) and they comprise the Global Postitioning System or GPS. I want go into all the detail as to why high satellites a Geostationary and low ones fly around the earth, I was just correcting the lie that you told about me not believing in satellites.

Because it's a communication signal that your television is recieving it's coming from a Geostationary satellite, as you say it cmes in a straight line, because there are non-moving geostationary satellites positioned all over the globe in this post-modern era, they are able to communicate with each other, this is how you can recieve a signal from the other side of the world.
