Gen. 1:2

"And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep (tehom - as in surging mass of water, i.e. main sea deep supply of water, depth, lit. waters)."

Proverbs 8:27

"When He prepared the heavens I was there:, When He set a compass (Chuwg) upon the face of the deep."

To compass the face of the waters on all sides is to form a sphere, face is the surface, not the edge, to set a compass upon the surface, from all sides, as God is omnipotent, encompassing the waters and the earth on all sides is to form a sphere. This is clear in Biblical teaching, there is no reason to doubt this or suggest otherwise.

Cup-of-Ruin in the rorschach test of cosmological diagrams that looks like a jelly fish cross section; well it would if you kept the spineless critter from collapsing. At any rate, I have learned a lot from this post not least of which is relax before commiting to burn someone at the stake. I don't agree with your view which I have been up front with.

But, I have not attacked you or your right to live on an immobile rock cicled by everything else in the universe or, to think that Beowolf (he being a Dane who some people with similar thoughts to those expressed by you belongs to the tribe of Dan because Dane and Dan sound alike) might have been Beowolf-Stien who had a really cool bar mitzvah a few years before ripping Grendel's arm off.

Here Luther familiar with Copernicus and his silly idea calls him a astrologer, wise old Luther knew that Holy Scripture and Astronomy were compatible, but that the fasle occult of Astrology was a game for decieved fools who think themselves clever and special.

Luther was right, so was Joshua.
 
Would anyone mind if I compiled a detailed report on this topic and got back to you all on my findings? I.e.: Seeking information from a college professor as well as some other key figures of my local community and possibly a few well known astronomers and astrophysicists depending on this college professor's recommendations? I will also be consulting local church leaders of two different denominations. And I'll also make a conclusion of my own opinion based on my findings and post it here also.

Ok....I'll summarize my findings into my own opinion when I have everything I need. And maybe I can give everyone who's posted here an answer that's suitable to their liking. Thank you and I'll do my best to present the best evidence possible to my answer.

Ironically, Cup of Ruin, astrologers use a geocentric earth model.
 
Well Cup I do think it's strange that you would appeal to the use of the term astrologer for a man who was basically a scientist. Yet it is well known that true astrologers, use geocentric earth model... so, your view on the earth is already used by the devil. If deceivers such as astrologers use a geocentric model, what does that mean for your claims that geocentricity is the truth? Satan is the father of lies and so I think the astrologers must be lying too when they use geocentric model for their astrology. God's truth is the heliocentric model.

So what you are saying is that The Spirit of Truth led you to believe that everyone who witnessed this event actually saw a meteor crashing into the moon and not spacecraft fired from earth?....why don't you research how long NASA spent planning this event or do you think a devious plan was suddenly sprung into action as soon as it was discovered that there was a meteor that was going to crash into the moon and they knew exactly where to tell everyone where to point their telescopes and at what time it would happen?

Are you not talking about when the craft is in orbit?...because I'm talking about the fist few minutes of the actual launch, before the craft exits earth atmosphere, from ground level to as far as the naked eye can track the craft. every single rocket launched has this arc, I mean if the earth is stationary then surely the rocket would just travel straight up perpendicular th the earths surface.

Your going round in circles, better you listen to Luther, better still you listen to God's word, I say this for your own benefit.
 
No worries in a couple of weeks and a lot of research I'll hopefully have a conclusion to all this and hopefully a very logical one.

I do not want to discourage you but I really think your hard work will be in vain, but if you feel that is what you need to do then I say go for it. There has been more than enough proof and references/links given to show the follies of certain beliefs only to be said that those credentials are evil.
However...a condensed article would be interesting to some but mark my words...whatever "proof or evidence" you can ascertain will be said by one to be of Satan.
Of course this would depend on your belief.

Do you hear that little christians? it says 'Tremble', Fear Him, do you really want to be last in His Kingdom? Thy will be done.
