  • “That if the Macedonians should come with me, and find you unnoticed, we will not be ashamed (not to say you) of this firm foundation of glory.” (2Cor 9.4 – Translated of the Portuguese).

The fourth foundation is kindness, that is, our capacity of sharing our goods with the needy brothers. We need to look on this foundation as an instrument of the glory of Jesus.

  • “For what is our hope or joy, or crown of glory? Are you not even to be in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy.” (1Thessalonians 2.19,20).

Paul look on the Thessalonians as someone that avouched that Paul really glorified to Jesus, which is extremely necessary:

  • “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have of God? And you are not your own, for you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.” (1Corinthians 6.19,20).

By this we can see the right way for us to glorify Jesus in body and spirit: using of kindness with people next to us, within us (2Corinthians 3.2,3).

Understand: kindness isn’t to satisfy the necessity of the person in order to fawn over them, let alone to help someone in order to mollify the own conscience or get free of a nag. Kindness is the mean whereby Jesus manifest His glory in us (or better, He glorify Himself through us). That is to say, we glorify Jesus when we opt for humbling before Jesus (1Peter 5.6,7) so that His goodness and mercy can achieve the person (Psalm 23.6) and we may have communion with this one.

Have a hearty week in Christ Jesus, without ever losing an opportunity of carrying out a gesture of kindness.
