How many times have we given the Lord our best, like the precious perfume Mary of Bethany gave?
Have we given the Lord that counted most to us?
Have we given Him the most treasured, most expensive presents we can afford?
Or have we given Him our least important gifts, our spare time and attention?
Mary gave her best. It didn’t come to waste. Nothing goes to waste when given to God. He knows our hearts; He searches our motives; He understands our actions; His not surprise with our reactions either. He sees through us, our pretensions, the masks we wore, our pains, our hurts and our silent cries. For One who gave us all, His Son, dying for us in the cross, shedding His precious blood, will He not give what is best for us? He gave us His best. Why can’t we give our best for Him?

That was her giving.
What is precious to us, can we give it to God?
Can we give Him our very best without looking at the price tag?
Can we give Him our time? Our attention? Our lives?
