A good shepherd protects and also leads his sheep but his sheep also heed his voice and follow where he leads they trust and know him his words will always keep then safe they understand the shepherd will not lead them astray or harm them so they follow
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
others will tell them don’t listen to him it’s not for you don’t follow him it’s a trap it’s only for those other sheep but they know when they hear his word and it will call to them and beckon them to follow
