Form the letter of our beloved brother Paulus

"And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Tess. 2:11-12)

And in our time we can see this great error, and we can choose to go with it, or control ourselves and choose to be faithful to God.

Are we going through pressure, or perhaps attracted by all those miraculous seductions, or are we turning away sanctifying ourselves and waiting for the coming of our Lord Yeshua with our lamps ready and our clothes clean with sound doctrine on our lips?

11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13¶But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

14Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

16¶Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

17Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

This is not believers in the church age , but rather during the tribulation.
And I'm not sure what you mean by ' sanctifying ourselves ' or having lamps ready . Again ' lamps being ready ' ( wise and foolish virgins ) is for the tribulation period . The church will not be here then .

What is that "working of error" and who are able to "choose to be faithful to God", as you see it?

I'll always use American standard version. Though I if the God's name is mentioned I change it from Jehovah to YHWH
Have you ever posted using (ASV) to show version used?

The work of error or delusion is what we live now. It's all around us. This world of goods and temptations, and false doctrines. And as I understand about everyone who turn to God with sincere means can be saved. But how rare is that? when we have this kind of world, which has capture about every mans attention to all kind of worries of money, and joys of this world. Where is the needed room to live for God, when all around grows suffocating thorn, and man want to know nothing but the thorns?

This kind of is the great error which separate true believers from those who actually loves more this world of delusion, than God.

Worldliness can mean paganism or gentileness. It's been part of the problem for christianity since early days. It has not gotten better with time.
