I grew up in an old timey church, we sang hymns, we testified as to what the Lord had done that week. The preacher stood up and preached the truth. He told us we could know that we know that we were saved and on our way to heaven. It was kind of like a song one of my favorite singers use to sing.

I believe in the blood that flows from Calvary
Does anyone love Jesus, does anyone hate sin?
Does anyone believe that Christ is coming back again?
But what God wants me to ask you, what He needs to know most

So here's the deal, what makes you "Happy in the Lord" today? You can keep coming back and post again if you like. Post a Scripture or a poem a song. What makes you feel blessed today?? Negative nellies need not post. We're having a praise fest, we're in the blessing corner and we ain't coming out.

I'm gonna start with being thankful for sisters in the Lord, not that I am not thankful for brothers. But I am thankful and happy in the Lord for sisters who are an encouragement in the faith. Some of us just talk in the forum, some privately but I am thankful and happy in the Lord for you!!

So who is next, let's keep this positive thread going and show the BDF we can give more praise and thankfulness than we can negative comments and arguing.

Sister Seoul Search, I sure do hope you will join this thread. Your posts have been an encouragement to me personally and I know I am not the only one. Let's light up the BDF with praise of all kinds. Let's go!!

Just want to give a bit of thankfulness today. I was at my mothers last night and I had given her a set of knives for Christmas. I decided to take them out of their box and put them away. I didn't realize that one of the knives wasn't sheathed. When I tried to take it out of the plastic I slit two of my fingers. Bled for a while but didn't need stitches. So I'm thankful for that. On the plus side, I know the knives work! :oops:

Praise the Lord. Does this mean when your fingers heal you will type with a limp?

What a wonderful post. I too believe that God is faithful, He answers prayer. I trust all that I am and all my problems to His mercy and guidance. He has never let me down.
 
Well I am happy in the Lord this morning. I was at my parents overnight. I hadn't gotten their Christmas put away yet because I came down with the flu really bad. Before 8 this morning my German Shepard jumped in bed with me almost on my head. I woke out of a dead sleep with tornado alarms going off constantly. That's why the dog jumped into the bed. What a scary wake up call!!

My parents came running, they don't have a basement. I said we needed to stop and say a prayer. We were able to get dressed and get to my house that has a basement and safety. I wasn't sure where my hubby was working but he was able to get in touch and he is safe and out of the storms path. So I am happy in the Lord today and thankful for His protection.

I'm thankful to God for creating animals. Who act out naturally and in such adorable innocent ways as to always bring a smile to my face. Just by being genuinely free in their nature.

And their patience with our little quirks, like playing dress up with them, is grand.

There were 5 touch downs around us. F1s but still pretty scary.
 
Happy to have stumbled upon this thread (after reading about it in another thread which I don't usually read through ;) )
I don't have time to read through it all right now (3 pages at this point) but sure do look forward to doing so this evening.
With how positive and encouraging/uplifting this thread has been (from what I've read so far) I really hope it picks back up and continues.

Happy in the Lord... I came across a reminder for this thread in another thread and had to search it out to find it...

Noticing a few of my panels no longer showing up, and a 503 error image message from
my image host showing up when I try to post panels, also, so I think I may need to upload
many of my panels again and get new urls for them, which I have started doing...

I also took a bit of an extended break from designing new panels since late last year, though
in the meantime did update some older ones that had bothered me for a while .:unsure:;):)

I opened up this one to look at just because I like what I did with the face and hair/eyes etc

And did make a few minor changes, and re-uploaded although the newest older one is still visible...

I am happy in the Lord for the same thing that some others have written. That even while I was yet a sinner, God's Son, the one who came as His Servant to His people Israel and then gave his life for all who will believe, died for me.
