!Must is not a request or suggestion!
He told Nicoodemus that, but it was not a command.!Must is not a request or suggestion!
It's simple an indicative statement...a statement of fact. The fact that it isn't in the imperative means it isn't something that the individual is to do. It is something done to the individual. In this case, by water and the Spirit.!Must is not a request or suggestion!

You miss my point. It is something every believer will do as a result of the working of God in them. The exciting force is the Spirit of God.It is something that is imperative for a sinner who wants to be saved to do in every case by accepting/believing in Christ as Messiah and Lord.

It are all the things associated with salvation: repentance, baptism, belief, confession, calling on the name of the Lord, etc.You did not say what "it" is, but if it refers to learning GW or loving fruit, then I like your point.

I actually agree with that, just that the Gospel doesnt give life, the Spirit alone does that, but the Gospel births or brings it to light. 2 Tim 1:9-10The gospel.
The gospel is the means by which the Spirit, having imparted life, proclaims what God has done on behalf of the individual. But faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. In salvation, the 2 are inexorably linked...John 3:5.I actually agree with that, just that the Gospel doesnt give life, the Spirit alone does that, but the Gospel births or brings it to light. 2 Tim 1:9-10
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
The Gospel has a purifying effect to the regenerated.
You lost me, however I have made myself clear on what I believe. The gospel is the means by which the Spirit, having imparted life, proclaims what God has done on behalf of the individual. It is the Work of God the Holy Spirit to reveal the crucified and Risen Lord of Glory into the Hearts of Chosen sinners, in order that they Trust in Him for all of their Salvation. He shows them their interest in God's Everlasting Covenant 2 Sam 23:5
5Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.
Ps 25:14
The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
John 16:13-14
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
He teaches them their need for Christ as sinners, He shews them Christ's Righteousness for them, His Imputed Righteousness, laid to their Charge, as Gift of God's Grace. He shows them the efficaciousness of the Death of Christ ,over sin, the world and the devil and Judgment. He guides them into all relevant Truth, for their Faith to Grow in the Knowledge of the Son of God.
