check out everyplace it is found in GOD'S WORD (the Bible). (every instance)

The best exposition on the Holy Spirit was written by a Christian Puritan years back called John Owen "The Holy Spirit"...This Writer is very difficult to comprehend as his writing style is not very clear...but if you stick with it you can gleam some golden nuggets of wisdom...rarely we come across in these modern times

The Holy Spirit is a helper to us. Here is an excerpt from my sermon notes I took yesterday:
Romans 8:26-27
V. 26: In the same way the Lord helps us in our weakness
-->helps: comes alongside in order for Him to take a hold of the burden we are carrying
-->like lifting something really heavy
-->share the weight
-->two man job

Here are just my general thoughts:
The Holy Spirit is quiet. He's not going to show up and be like "I'M HERE!" Sometimes you won't even be aware of his presence.
In my life I'm afraid I have taken a lot of credit for the Holy Spirits work in me because I didn't even know it was him. For a long time I was really REALLY confused as to why I was so different and sometimes sad and frustrated at why not everyone else saw things how I did. Well now I know it wasn't me seeing that stuff, it was the Holy Spirit showing me and my my mind kinda exploded when I realized that.
He is the Spirit of the Father and the Son, the third person of the Trinity.
He illumines Christ (Jn 16:14-15) to us, the Bread of Life and our complete provision (Jn 6:34),
as in the Tabernacle the candlestick illumined the show bread.
Giving the new birth,
quickening the word of God to us, illuminating it to our spirits,
enabling us to obey the NT commands, exhortation and admonitions thereby
transforming us into the image of Christ,
bearing witness in our hearts to our sonship and the truth of God's word written,
sheds the love of God abroad in our hearts,
makes real to us God and Christ. . .

He is God's Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, He who bears witness to the Truth, the Spirit of prophecy and testimony of Jesus Christ. Here's some verses...
