islam didnt exist in the time of christ and isnt in the bible
And please do not assert that it was not mentioned in the bible. It was a form of Baal worship and the name Allah can be traced back to 1,400 BC.
Baal and Islam have the same symbol.

oh for crying out loud...WAS? islam existed than went out of biz?
it's in the past. it WAS a Caesar
No... it says that it came from the 1st empire. Please study your history.

1. Egypt
2. Assyria
3. Babylon
4. Medo-Persia
5. Greece
6. Rome

The image was made after the likeness of the 1st beast which was Egypt.

If your study leads you to believe that Rome was the first empire, I recommend that you go back and study it again.

if God wanted to say Islam, He would have.
EVERY sect (including christianity) uses images dating back to those of Baal.
you'll have to do better.

The reason it is called the image of the beast is because it looks like the beast, the Antichrist.
THAT is NOT what scripture says. You are adding that.

Revelation 13
"causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast" [NOT himself]

"And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast" [the image is CLEARLY not himself]

Does it not say that she has ridden the back of the empires upon the world and shared her fornication with all nations?

If you don't want to remain humble and consider it and study it for yourself, that is your choice. I would gather that you did not even read everything I wrote. You simply responded in an antagonistic matter. I have sought the Lord diligently for the past few years on this mystery.
I was able to tell others of Isis before Isis even made itself known to the world because God is the revealer of all secrets.

You say that if he meant Islam that John would have written that in Revelation, yet none of the other empires are named as well.

Be cautious that you not become a scoffer or mocker to those that diligently seek the Lord on a daily basis.

2 Peter 3:[SUP]3 [/SUP]Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

A phone isn't an image. And phones don't talk, they allow you to hear others talking. There is a distinction.

passage please. esp this: it came from the 1st empire.
Sure thing.

Revelation 13:12
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Furthermore, someone recently corrected me appropriately in that this worship originated with Nimrod and is associated with the tower of Babel.

So it did not originate in Egypt; Egypt was just the first empire that adopted it (or her).

that was Jerusalem.
Jerusalem came about from the promised land after the exodus from Egypt. And while Israel was in fact a nation, it was never a world empire. This woman rode on the back of ALL the beasts of the earth; even before Jerusalem was established.

There are two great cities mentioned in Revelation. One is "spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord was crucified" and is obviously Jerusalem. The second great city mentioned many books later with a much different description is Babylon.

The two are often confused for one another so I understand why you jumped to Jerusalem right away.

Absolutely true. EVERY... as you have pointed out. Isn't it interesting that all of those symbols are the same and can be traced back to Isis? Especially when you take in the fact that she was named "the mother of all gods". Obviously we (as believers in Christ Jesus) know that they are forms of idolatry and therefore abominations. So then, we should call her the "mother of all abominations".
You seem well studied in many things (from other threads I have observed you involved in) and I would make a guess that you probably already know that the "mother of god" image of the virgin Mary was originally taken from Astarte (Roman diety later named Diana as well as many others). Diana is mentioned in Acts 19 as well as meteorite worship associated with her ("the image that fell from Jupiter"). But did you know that Astarte was taken directly from Ishtar which was again taken directly from Isis?
Are you seeing the pattern here? It can all be traced back to Isis which, again, came from Nimrod.
Islam is the only group today that demands that its followers worship a meteorite. And they do... by the millions (approx. 6 million per year).
It is the fastest growing religion on the earth with 24% of the population in its sect. That is almost 1/4 of the earth!

first of all, that does not say it came from the 1st empire. or anything like it. and the personal pronoun is "he".
what source do you have for Baal worship being practiced by Nimrod; and what does that have to do with Muhammed?
was Nimrod an Islamist?

almost every ancient nation used the sun & moon as religious symbols.
islam is not in the Bible. and if you make a leap from Egypt to Nimrod, you do that based on your own presuppositions (which are incorrect, though popular).

if you need information on Ishmael, see Paul's allegory in Galatians.

Daniel covers the "beasts as kingdoms".

Example:
Daniel 7:
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

All things are described as male and female, he and she, in the old language. Some languages, like French, still do that today.

thanks (it was about rome and jerusalem/israel). islam didn't exist.

Interesting that it is " isis" who is showing up all over the news...

QUOTE=Markum1972;1751881]I continued studying this topic up until yesterday and wanted to give an update of what I found.

If you go back and look at the descriptions of the black stone of Islam that is on the Kaaba in Mecha, you will see why I originally posted this. The matching details are amazing. So, here is what else I have discovered since then...

The image here is a meteorite and I was only able to find one other reference in scripture that gives significance to a stone.

After tracing meteorite worship back, it all appears to have come from the goddess, Isis, which was one of the greatest gods of Egypt (the 1st empire/beast) and was called the "mother of all gods" and "the queen of the throne of Heaven". The gods that she was "mother" of were all idols which we know are an abomination in the sight of God. So I suppose while she was called the "mother of all gods" by the Egyptians, she would be called "mother of all abominations" by those who served God Almighty.

She later became known as Ishtar (among other names) to the Assyrians, Babylonians, and Medo-Persians. In the city of Uruk of Babylon, she became known as the "courtesan of the gods". Courtesan is just a more pleasant way of saying "harlot".

She adopted other names in Greece (Aphrodite, Astarte) and then later in Rome she was called Isis again as well as many other names.

The Arabians adopted her as well and called her Allat. This is the feminine form of Allah. It was said that Allat's home was the Kaaba (before Islam) and that she had an idol within the Kaaba.

Looking at Islamic history, you will see (even in the Quran) that Muhammad destroyed every idol in Mecca except for what he considered to be the greatest one of all out of which all the others came (the mother of all the others). This was the black stone which is said to be the image of Allah.

As you can see, Isis (the mother of all abominations, the harlot) has managed to ride on the backs of all of the empires of the world to survive even today.

The black stone is the image of Islam and it is required by Islam that you worship it.

My comment

Until you get the fact that Rome is not recorded in any of the prophets visions you will never understand

The 4th kingdom in Daniel 7 is not the Roman Empire

This kingdom is a future kingdom in the Middle East resembling a 10 part Muslim confederation lead by the human little horn, a king of north western Mesopotamia .... Syria/Iraq today

This northern kingdom has existed in the past just before the first century north of Israel ... the Seleucid kingdom [look it up on the internet]

This kingdom rivaled the kingdom of Egypt and so will it be at the time of the end Daniel 11:40

Rome did not begin as two rival kingdoms [the iron legs of the Image in Daniel 2] of which one will conquer the other at the time of the end ..... the time appointed .... Antiochus IV was the last king of the north and the little horn will be the next .... the visions fast forward from the Seleucid kingdom to the kingdom of the little horn [Syria/Iraq]

This little horn will conquer Egypt and then expand his kingdom to incorporate the entire Middle East .... and he will appoint 10 other kings to rule with him [Daniel 7; Revelation 13:1-4]

The error that has been made is the common understanding of the 70 weeks of years decreed for Israel

The termination of the 69th week was at the Lord's cutting off ..... and the full 70th week is still pending [Daniel 9:24-27]

You will not find any earthly event recorded in any Bible prophet's vision between the ending of the 69th and the beginning of the 70th .... not one .... all of the visions are silent regarding the last 2000 years

And Daniel 9 has nothing to do with the "church" and everything to do with national Israel .... Daniel's people

Replacement theology and the idea of a Euro-centric kingdom of the little horn in conjunction with the RRC are both false teaching

Now .... the image of the beast .... the scriptures do not give enough details for know what this will be

However, we can know that it will be associated with the beast and that his followers will desire to have it so that they can identify with him

This will be some sort of idol that they can possess and it can both speak and cause those who will not worship the beast to be killed

Historically this thing would have been some sort of pagan idol "god" .... either a large statue and or a smaller version that could be worshiped

Will it be the same at the time of the end of this present age .... possible

But it can speak and cause things to happen ..... we have electronic devices today connected to a worldwide Internet, so think about this

Will there be some sort of communication going on with this thing? .... could demonic forces take it over and use it for nefarious purposes?

Notice that most people have access to the Internet today .... even if it is a handheld cell phone or tablet

Do Islamic terrorists use this same connecting media today .... and what is it used for?

Can the Internet and remote connections be used to track people down? .... can it be known whether or not you worship the beast?

Just things to think about as we move closer to the time

Regardless ..... if you are around and enter the tribulations of the 70th week, be careful what you carry around and use to buy or sell

Just a suggestion
