Without Jesus’ redemption, men would live in sin all the time, and they would all become children of sin and descendants of the devil. If that continued, the whole earth would become a place where satan settles and where satan lives. But to do the redemptive work, God had to bestow mercy and lovingkindness to men so that they could be forgiven and finally have the qualification to be made complete and fully gained. Without that stage of work, the six-thousand-year management plan could not be carried on. If Jesus had not been crucified but had only healed the sick and driven out demons, man’s sins still could not have been completely forgiven. He came to earth and worked for three and a half years, having only completed half of the redemptive work. Then, by being crucified and becoming the likeness of a sinful flesh and being delivered to the evil one, he accomplished the work of crucifixion and took control of mankind’s destiny. Only after he was delivered into satan’s hand was mankind redeemed. He suffered on earth for thirty-three and a half years, being ridiculed, slandered, and rejected, and even having no place to lay his head and no place to rest. And then he was crucified, having his whole being, a holy and innocent flesh, nailed onto the cross, and suffered all kinds of pain. Those in power mocked him and flogged him, and the soldiers even spat in his face, yet he still remained silent, endured to the end, obeyed unto death unconditionally, and redeemed all mankind. Only after that did he have rest. The work he did only represents the Age of the Grace and it does not represent the Age of the Law and cannot replace the work of the end time. This is the substance of the work Jesus did in the Age of the Grace, which is the second age mankind has gone through—the Age of the Redemption.
