I put together this video for the song "Jesus, Son of God" - performed by Christy Nockels & Chris Tomlin.

"Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God." - 1 John 5:5

I made this video using excerpts I took from a sermon preached by John Stott called "The Suffering Servant" which discusses the fact that Jesus is the one spoken of in Isaiah 53.

The poem is beautiful in itself but when you identify the servant with Jesus Christ, it is really frightening. Philippians 2,6-8 is talking about God making himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant (the human nature) and then we go to Isaiah and we read that all the pain, sorrow and suffering from this fallen human nature (from the entire world) have been projected on Jesus Christ (a man of suffering and familiar with pain). Jesus Christ has took from our sinful nature only the pain part (and not the part of the sin that gives pleasure). No one could understand His suffering; He was alone. He is appeased by the children and by the humbles.
We serve a God that came on earth to serve us.

I am in complete agreement with you Simona, about Isaiah 53 being some of the most heart-breaking and yet heart-warming verses in the Bible about Jesus. And isn't that just like Jesus, he is absolutely everything to us!!!

Regarding the John Stott video I posted above about "The Suffering Servant", I realized after I uploaded it to YouTube that I made some mistakes in the video, so I had to remove it (hence the broken link above) then correct the video and upload it a second time. I will post the second corrected video below.

I put together this sermon-excerpt video of Martyn Lloyd Jones preaching on the offense caused by the Cross of Jesus Christ.

I put together this video by taking excerpts from the sermon "You Cannot Follow Me Now" by John Piper. The sermon focuses on the night before Jesus was crucified when He said to His disciples "You Cannot Follow Me Now".

I put together this video about Jesus by taking excerpts from the sermons "Looking at the Face of Jesus" (John MacArthur), and "Face To Face With Jesus" (Martyn Lloyd Jones).

Rev 4:8 And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say, "HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME."

I like this verse because the four living creatures never get tired of praising God.
This is what they want to do day and night.

Good thread idea, Descyple. And I agree with you, it is all about Jesus.

Here is a meaningful and convicting sermon from Francis Chan about "If Jesus Was The Pastor of Your Church"

I put together this video of quotes I took from 4 sermons by Charles Spurgeon about Jesus and his work on the Cross.

I put together this video for the song "O The Blood" performed by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.

I put together this video of quotes from A.W. Tozer's books regarding the Cross of Jesus Christ.

I love this quote from your video: "The cross will cut into our lives where it hurts worst, sparing neither us nor our carefully cultivated reputations. It will defeat us and bring our selfish lives to an end."

I am glad you enjoy that quote, SweetSue. I found it very meaningful as well. Jesus' Cross is not only meant to save us, but to change us more into Jesus' image by making us die to ourselves everyday.

"Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me."
- Matthew 16:24

I posted this quote on Instagram from Ravi Zacharias about what Jesus means to him. I took the quote from Ravi's book "Jesus Among Other Gods"

Love, peace, and joy. All things coming from God are great. What more can man ask for, such a loving God, such peaceful assurance. No chaos touches us here, no darkness obscures. We have but, trust in he and glorify his name. Lord, thank you, thank you for your gift, thank you for your wisdom, thank you for your presence.
