One thing that I'm wondering about, (and it's something that I'm going to dig further into.) But the "Day of the Lord," in scripture addresses more than just one day, and isn't always referring to the Sabbath. I agree with you about the new moons beginning each year, and each month. From what I understand there is a counting period that begins with each new moon. There are also days mentioned that are to be kept just the same as the Sabbath days. Those days are all based on new moons.
Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
I see that as being a statement that is different than a Sabbath day command. The above verse is a shaking event.
As with the feasts and holy days, they are said to be "rehearsals." I also know that God has a purpose for every single word written, and so even words that people don't like the hear, like "SABBATH DAYS," are very important.
I know that in Rev, John mentions the day of the Lord as well. I've always taken that to mean the Sabbath day. Yet...He says: Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
So this day that John wrote about was more than just an observed day.
Any way, just thought I'd point those few things out.

Yes the "day of the Lord" from what I see is the second coming of Christ. I never really meant it to relate to the weekly Sabbath. I was relating a feast as a time period, and certain times or things that happen are called a "day" in many cases.
"Behold, thou hast driven me out this "day" from the face of the earth;" (Genesis 4:14a)
"And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever." Exodus 12:17
As we know, the "feast of unleavened bread" lasts 7 says, and it took 3 days (a period of time) before Israel was ready to cross the Red Sea. So the day God brought Israel out of Egypt was at the minimum 3 days. Then to bring this thread back to my original point, so that non Sabbath keepers can begin to see that the 4th commandment can be kept, there are 3 feasts ordained by God that are enveloped in Sabbath days. The feast of weeks have 7 Sabbaths. (Leviticus 23:15)
"Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings." (Leviticus 23:2-3)
Then we have celebrations that are not identified as feast days in the Bible such as "trumpets."
"Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation." (Leviticus 23:24)
Then the Day of Atonement is a sabbath.
It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath. (Leviticus 23:24) "at even" is the beginning of the 10th day which is the celebration of "Atonement."
In other words, what I'm bringing forward is that I find nowhere in the old Testament law that there are 52 Sabbath days every year. Believe me however, I think it is good to take a day out of every seven to rest in the Lord.
I also am bringing forward the reality that the Biblical times and seasons, and Sabbaths have been lost due to the Julian and Gregorian calendars. If there is a weekly Sabbath ordained by God, I would like to have the scripture pointed out. It would take only one verse like it takes to describe the time for feasts.
I'm just tired of people hassling over Saturday and Sunday when both days were named after pagan gods. If there is a weekly Sabbath it could be Wednesday for all we know.
The other thing, whose birthday is December 25th, and why do we call it a religious holiday? The Bible has no date as to when Jesus was born. Who came up with all this? Just sayin'

I think I understand where you're coming from. I looked up some information about different calendars used throughout history. Before the Gregorian calendar, the Roman (Julian) calendar was in effect, and before that the Egyptian calendar was the main calendar, but before that the Lunar calendar was used by not only the Jewish people, but the Chinese, the Babylonians, the Greeks, and even the Muslim nations.
Calendars have changed so many times but I have to say that God's word never ever changes.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
God set a system in place even before anyone considered a calendar.
Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
The above verse shows that God set a calendar in place right from the beginning. "His system covers it all, signs and seasons, days and years."With Noah, long before the time of Daniel, there is mention of a time and an exact day.
Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
Genesis 8:5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.

This is very interesting! "New Moon, and Month," are translated chodesh.
The first thing that popped into my mind was the Hebrew phrase “Ruach HaKodesh” after I read your post. “Ruach HaKodesh” is the Hebrew for “the Holy Spirit.”
“Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.” (Psalm 51:11)
new moon = חדש chodesh
"ח” is the eighth letter of the aleph beyt representing new beginnings. As we know, circumcision was performed on a male child 8 days after their birth. In relation to a 7 days cycle of time, the 8[SUP]th[/SUP] day is the beginning of another cycle of time.
“Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.” (Lev 23:36)
Eighth = New beginnings the number 8
(קדש) “holy” qadesh is a sacred place or thing that is consecrated, dedicated, and hallowed.
“Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. חדש "new” spelled the same as “new moon” with a slightly different pronunciation “chadash.”
The following verses are all in Leviticus chapter 23. The word “month” is identical and exactly the same as new moon = חדש chodesh. Notice that “Month” and “New Moon” are connected with “Sabbaths.” concerning the “feast of Tabernacles” being the 15[SUP]th[/SUP] (1[SUP]st[/SUP] day) day, and the 22[SUP]nd[/SUP] (8[SUP]th[/SUP] day)
5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord's passover.
6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
At the beginning of “Trumpets” is a “Sabbath.”
24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
At the beginning of “Atonement” (the beginning of the 10[SUP]th[/SUP] day) is a “Sabbath.”

All I can find in the Old Testament concerning Sabbath days are all centered round the New moons with the exception of the “Feast of weeks, and even so the “Feast of weeks” have “Sabbaths” within them. In summary, the Sabbaths are all connected with feast days and times concerning the moon cycle. I find nothing else. Moons, months, feasts, and Sabbaths are consistently connected in every case.

The Sabbath Day is Wrong
The Sabbaths are always in the same place: The 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of the month. Of course they are 7 days apart, but the count starts every Lunar month.
Notice:
- The first day of the month is New Moon Day.
- Then the seven day week begins, and the 8th day of the month is the Sabbath
- The 15th day (the next Sabbath) is the full moon.
- The 22nd is another Sabbath.
- The last Sabbath of the month is on the 29th.
- The next month begins with the next new moon, and the count of days begins again.
I will be thinking about how the “feast of weeks” fits into this synopsis. (Leviticus 23:16) I'm having a “duh” moment in that respect. LOL
The following are only my thoughts with some facts incorporated to bring it all together, but it makes more sense to me concerning what I read in scripture than the Julian or the Gregorian calendars.
The orbit of the Moon around the Earth is not an easy process. The Moon makes a complete orbit around the Earth approximately once every 28 days. This means that the Moon orbits the Earth 13 times in a year.
28 days per month X 13 months = 364
364 days divided by 7 = 52 weeks per year
According to the book of Enoch, there are what we call windows of degrees concerning the sun, moon and stars. As we notice the sun rising and setting in different degrees (windows on the horizon) throughout the year, so are the moon phases in relationship to degrees. The windows of the sun and moon are determined by their alignment according to the constellations. This would cause the hours in each month's moon window (degree of rising and setting) to be longer or shorter depending on the time of year.
The synodic month is the time it takes the moon to reach the same visual phase. According to the instructions given by God, watchmen were placed, ready to sound the trumpet, when the first sliver of a new moon appeared, being a “new month.”
This varies notably throughout the year, but averages around 29.53 days. The synodic period is longer than the sidereal period because the Earth–Moon system moves in its orbit around the sun during each sidereal month, hence a longer period is required to achieve a similar alignment of Earth, the Sun, and the Moon.
The time (anomalistic) in which the moon passes from perigee to perigee is about 27.55 days. “Perigee” is the point at which the moon is nearest to the earth. The Earth–Moon separation determines the strength of the lunar tide raising force.
This is the high and low end of calculations, so it is important to understand that every month is not the same length of time to the minute. It would be more accurate to calculate each month, but I present this only as an example.
Days in shortest month = 27.55 X 9.4 months = 258.970 days
Days in longest month = 29.53 X 3.6 months = 106.308 days
258.970 + 106.308 = 365.278
Without going into great detail, there are 365.242 days per year, the Biblical calender having 13 months every year because they measured monthly time by the moon.
The average number of days per month = 28.54 = 684.96 hours per month.
684.96 hours divided by 28 days per month = 24.462857 average length of days year round, some days being shorter, and some longer according to the moon and sun's rotation.
Therefore, the average of hours for each day throughout the entire Biblical year equal approximately 24 hours 28 minutes per day year round in a 13 month moon cycle of 28 days each.
The Moon appears to move completely around the celestial sphere once in about 27.3 days as observed from the Earth. This is called a sidereal month, and reflects the corresponding orbital period of 27.3 days. The moon takes 29.5 days to return to the same point on the celestial sphere as referenced to the Sun because of the motion of the Earth around the Sun; this is called a synodic month (Lunar phases as observed from the Earth are correlated with the synodic month). Since the Moon must move eastward among the constellations enough to go completely around the sky (360 degrees) in 27.3 days, it must move eastward by 13.2 degrees each day. Thus, with respect to the background constellations the Moon will be about 13.2 degrees further East each day. Since the celestial sphere appears to turn 1 degree about every 4 minutes, the Moon crosses our celestial meridian about 13.2 x 4 = 52.8 minutes later each day.
Taking these calculations into account, we also know that there is an increase or decrease in the length of days as the times and seasons pass. We identify scripture as the 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] 6[SUP]th[/SUP] or 9[SUP]th[/SUP] hour when we read about the crucifixion of Christ, and compare that with our clock as 9am, 12noon, and 3PM. This is close, but not necessarily correct. The sun dictates the hour of the day according to the shadow on a “sun dial.”
The “sun dial of Ahaz” (Isaiah 38:8) calculated the shadow from morning to evening. As I understand, there were 12 increments within the bowl, each increment being defined as an hour. This couldn't have been a 60 minute time sequence when we take the hours of daylight into consideration between summer and winter.
In summary, unlike what I have found on the web concerning leap years, weekly Sabbaths, and the number of days per month, using these calculations above, it is easy to see that the weekly Sabbath days year round correlate perfectly with the “Feasts of Unleavened Bread,” “the Feast of Weeks,” and the “Feast of Tabernacles.” The weekly Sabbath days fall on the 1[SUP]st[/SUP], 8[SUP]th[/SUP], 15[SUP]th[/SUP], and 22[SUP]nd[/SUP] of each month year round, and they are in perfect synchronization with the moon.
I also have a different thought from what I had determined previously about the women who prepared spices for the body of Jesus, resting “according to the commandment.” I'll save that for a different post.

The New Testament books usually use the word “qarna” meaning “horns of a ram” and is not the direct Aramaic cognate of "shoperata," but a synonym. John uses the Hebrew word "shofar". "A great voice as of a shofar" points to "the day of the Lord," a time of awe, judgment and gathering. It is a certain time period, a day, or an hour that belongs to the Lord cause He calls the shots.
“But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.” (Numbers 10:7)
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. Leviticus 23:24

The answer to your question is “I don't know.” LOL Whatever day of the month it was when John wrote it doesn't seem to correlated with any month or with any feast that were enveloped by sabbath days. All I know is that it was a time belonging to Christ Jesus.
The Julian and Gregorian calendar changed nothing. only dates not the 7 week cycle. Sunday is still Sunday etc. but the date changed.
So the Days of the week remained the same. The fact that they named the 7th day after their God does not change or impact anything. They changed Daniels and his 3 friends names did that change their reality of who they were and what they were? no.
This is all fancy hoopla that only makes the ignorant confused but if you actually go an look at what happened there has been no change to the 7 day cycle. the only thing that changed is the date and the name. but the 1234567 is still the same.
Did God name the days of the week other than 1234567?
Did God name the months according to the Julian/Gregorian calendar?
Are the names of the months God made in the Gregorian calendar?
Are the months of God the same amount of days as the Gregorian calendar?
Sabbath is the "set apart" time that God ordained and it isn't named after the god Saturn.
There is a reason for the change and it wasn't because God approved.
"And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time." The Julian/Gregorian calendar was for the purpose of celebrating pagan gods and neglecting the Holy Days (Sabbaths) of God's ordained feasts. Seems to have worked, for the adversary is right smack-dab into the center of Christian religion isn't it? You bought it, and so has the majority of professing Christians. So according to Biblical history, when was Jesus Christ really born? Who's birthday is it really? If you cannot answer that question with a date, then your argument is in vain.

The phrase “seven weeks” should be 49 days by standard calendars. By a lunar-solar calendar, however, it would be 51-52 days. Leviticus 23 and Daniel 9 both establish that “seven weeks” are 49 days. And that simply disproves the lunar-Sabbath idea.

Seems to me you are trying to re-invent the wheel. Our Creator gave a clear commandment, not complicated, all you have to do is count to 7. We've already agreed that Messiah knew which day it is. Jews all over the world know which day it is. The RCC knows which day it is.

there is a reason why the only command among the ten given in /exo. 20 that says remember is about the Sabbath, seems to me if the creator of the universe wanted man NOT to forget that DAY, (and He didn't) He could and did preserve it despite any changes to the reckoning of time man may have imposed, His hand is not shortened and he doesn't give commands that mankind cannot obey, no matter when there born, actually there is an unbroken chain of the Sabbath days and even the /shemitah years, just because the 7th day falls on the day mankind has changed its name does not change the timing itself, the Savior knew what day the Sabbath was and accurate records have been kept from just that time as well so to say the day is not accurate is in error and tends to lead others astray as so many other false teachings do , seems there is no end of mans attempt to cast doubt and bring confusion to the very clear commands given in His word.

You have lost all track of time, including days of the week, or the month or year for that matter. You have no idea when Sabbath is, but you want to return to keeping it to honor God. You have no technology; no cell phone, no computer, no timepiece, no calendar, nothing. The only thing you have is a Bible. Using the Bible, reestablish where you are in time, and begin keeping the Sabbath again. Using God’s word and the instruction given, you can reestablish the appointed times and keep the feasts. But what about the 7th day Sabbath? This is the dilemma we are faced with when using two models of reckoning, or two systems of calendation.
The reason this issue is so important is that it is at the heart of the Three Angels Message and work of the Fourth Angel right down at the end of this earth’s history. The Sabbath is the focal point of worship and the Creator. What if we are not observing the correct 7th day Sabbath of Creation? God help us.
In the time of the end every divine institution is to be restored. The breach made in the law at the time the Sabbath was changed by man, is to be repaired.
The first Sabbath for Israel was in the year 1446 BC on the 22[SUP]nd[/SUP] day of the second month lyar. If you can find a Gregorian calendar that compares with that year we would all know when the true weekly Sabbath really was.
