You have been drinking the new age kool-aid again.

Joh 4:32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

It's not speaking of joy resulting from earthly pleasures. Which is what the feel good gospel is all about. Have you ever been reproached for the name of Christ?

For the cause of Christ
Roger

Oh, you mean like Joel was on the Larry King show and the way he is here all the time?

No one said he said it's ok to live that lifestyle however he's not telling them to turn from it.

How about this PrynceNY;
What do your big 3; Lawson, Conlon, and Washer have to say about Osteen.
Surely you would know what they say.

I'm betting you haven't heard enough of him to have an honest opinion.
I've heard him enough to know he doesn't tell people to get on their knees before God & repent for their sins. But I mean if you enjoy listening to him that's fine ill pass. I'm sure theres alot of new members that go there who know nothing about repentance yet he's not helping in that regard & wants them to "feel good"

You do realize that getting on your knees before God and repenting for your sins is not the real gospel. The real gospel - word-for-word accounts given by Peter and Paul in Acts 10 and in Acts 13 - show what the real gospel of the grace of Christ is.

Actually I hardly listen to him. He has an exhorter ministry and that is something I don't need at the moment but if and when I do - I'm sure the Holy Spirit will lead me to listen to whomever He has chosen to exhort. edify and comfort me.

Well, I take a quick look on google and Lawson and Washer come up as big time Osteen bashers, so I see where you get your opinions from.
And the quality of Carter Conlon?
He's involved with Latter Rain and the NAR and has been under fire at Times Square for years.
And these are who you listen to?
I'm very sorry to hear that.
I hope you will mend your ways.
I bet Joel could help you live a better life now and forever.

So, you have been to his services then and know for a fact he says that the homosexuality lifestyle is not a sin?
I didn't say he said homosexuality is not a sin. I said he has homosexuals at his church & he doesn't preach about them repenting from that lifestyle.

Christians really need to listen to this video about the Larry King show.

Maybe he understands the actual Biblical meaning of the word, "repent", and is not trying to tell them to just make an "I'm so sorry, God." show.

It's easy for any pastor to stand before people & preach a feel good message. Idk how many interviews I've seen when he's ask basic questions they would cover in sunday school & he says "ehhh yea I don't like talking about that stuff. When asked about other religions instead of proclaiming Chrst is the only way he says "ehhh I don't want to condemn anyone" He has homosexuals at his church & doesn't teach them to repent & turn from that lifestyle.

The scriptures is not all about cute & cuddly feel good messages. It also tells about judgement in which everyone will face. Judgement makes Joel uncomfortable. Talking about sin makes him uncomfortable. People in Jesus day thought he was a harsh speaker, Jesus wasn't concerned about tickling peoples ears only telling the truth.

Are you able to provide evidence of Osteen saying "ehhh yea I don't like talking about that stuff." Otherwise, at least to me, it sounds ambiguous and inconclusive. I like empirical evidence and not something as vague as mist in the fields on a summer morning.

I might understand not wanting to condemn anyone, but I agree that if you are a Christian, you believe in only one way to God. I have actually seen a couple of videos wherein Osteen's ground seems a little shaky, but I'm not always a light on a hill either.

He has homosexuals at his church? Oh that's just nasty! I once worked for one...homosexual that is...does that nullify my Christian testimony?

Judgement makes Joel feel uncomfortable? Am I wrong, or do you have conversations with him about his feelings? Seeing as you have brought them up a few times now.

No, the Bible is not a feel good message but for some reason, when I study the message, I feel good.

Can't explain it.

Be careful what you sit under I guess.

Condemnation and judgement preaching seem to produce the very same thing in the people that sit under it.

So, you have been to his services and heard him yourself say not to stop living the homosexual lifestyle?

What about those that slander others in the body of Christ? Should we have those in our churches? How about those with outbursts of anger?

They are in the same list as those that live a homosexual lifestyle. How about lasciviousness which is "without restraint" - should we have all those that are obese from over-eating kicked out of our churches? Shouldn't we preach down on them for not repenting?

If we preached against every one that walked by the list of the works of the flesh - no person would be safe in our churches. We are just being hypocrites by condemning those that are still learning how to live by the spirit so that they will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh to do "it's" desires.

What if we preach Christ and the grace and love of God so that they have the proper "nutrients" to grow up in Christ and walk by the Spirit instead of by the flesh?

There is a time for church discipline too but that is left up to those in leadership positions and not just any Christian like you or I which are not involved in that local assembly.

You laugh at me?
You, who has never watched a single Lakewood Church service.
And that is what this thread is all about.

Joels mentality has always been " I don't want to offend anyone". Yea that's right there is a time for discipline, I personally prefer old school preachers who tell the word straight up. Not ones always concerned about peoples feelings which is irrelevant when it comes to God s word.

Now you are doing a psych evaluation on the man

Jesus is an old school preacher and He looks us straight in the eye when He says that everyone of us have come short of the glory of God.

And don't read the prophets of the Old Testament because that could keep you up at night.

See, many seem willing to apply judgement in the mistaken belief it illustrates they have a better understanding and do not share in the sin DNA of others

It has the opposite effect in my estimation.

If you want to listen to him that's your choice. I'm not going to begin to mention his relationship with the pope because that's another story. But I will say if he begins to bring the popes philosophy of one religion in lakewood then I suggests for your sake to stay away from him.

As long as you feel good. Biblical doctrine makes you uncomfortable.

Larry King is an apostate Jew. He has no love for Protestantism. Joel is no match for Larry. Larry is clearly lost but Joel was of no assistance in revealing to him the Lord Jesus.

Mt 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Willie ~ Yea I am sick and what do I know about it. I just live directly across the street less than 0.1 miles away and seen things going on there you cant imagine. Also my stepdad lives down the street from his house. After what I have seen and you have not the only sick things is calling other sick when you have not ever even seen him and I see him in his personal life. Its not the same image you are sold I can say that much. The liar face should have told you that.

This is what I'm wondering...

1. Why don't you tell us some of the strange things you've seen or your father in law has seen.

2. If we're to believe in the Holy Spirit, then why can't we believe that He got that big Church filled up with people?

I'm a bit confused about this.
Doesn't the Holy Spririt WANT churches to be full?
We complain when they're empty,,,
we complain when they're full,,,
