Ah, tres bien. Je parle francais un peu. J'ai etudie le francais pour six ans mais il a ete depuis longtemps j'ai etudie. S'il vous plaît excuser les erreurs. J'oublie que les canadiens parlez francais parfois.

I saw that it was against the rules to use other than English without a translation, so...

"How YOU doin?"

Just kidding. lol

"Ah, very good. I speak French a little. I studied French for 6 years but it has been a long time since I studied. Please excuse the errors. I forget that Canadians speak French sometimes."

I went to french emerson, but I lost a lot of it. I can still read it and understand, but writing and speaking it, that I am rusty on. I get tenses all messed up

I wish I could practice more often.
A number of years back, I had to make regular calls to Paris. Had no problems communicating or understanding. Then one day, I called and this man and I were having a real tough time understanding each other. He must have noticed my accent and finally asked if I spoke English. I said yes and he said, "Oh good. Me too." Turned out he was from Japan and knew better English than French. LOL
Talked to some people from northern Canada and had a lot more difficulties communicating with them than France. The language is quite a bit different.

Kinda neat- Men experiencing contractions and child birth:

(There is the f-word near the end of video, if that will be offensive to you, you can choose not to watch it or stop at any time)
Enjoy! :)

I so wish my Mom would still be alive to have seen this, she'd have loved this. Right up her alley...she was fluent in French & adored cats. That is pretty funny, very well done. I'm gonna show this to the guy I commute to work with. He's some kind of French-Canadian decent...I dunno what they call it here in Maine,Acadien??? Something to do with settlers from Quebec I think...lol dunno... but when we do international calls at work I always transfer my canadian customers or ones I get from france to him,'cause he can speak it...lol

I have done that before. There have been times when I have eaten so much that I vow I will never eat again, ever in my life, and then 3 hours later I'm hungry.

That happens to me with Chinese food. I'll eat a huge plate of food with like 2 egg rolls and dumplings and the works and then be so stuffed and then like 2-3 hours go by and it's like, wow, I'm hungry again. lol I don't know what it is about Chinese food, but that full feeling after eating it doesn't last long.

You talk as if being hungry every three hours is odd. For me, this is normal. 0_o

Does quitting smoking make everybody hungry, or is it just my boyfriend? For days after he 'quits' he eats like a horse!

Hi! :) Welcome to the "Let’s talk about something OTHER THAN how hard it is to not have sex/not masterbate/find a christian person to date, "gay rights/marriage", how sinful music is/isn’t, which Bible is right/wrong, OSAS, how evil other faiths are, how evil all politicians are, conspiracy theories, you’re all wrong and everyone is going to hell but me" thread!

Was that really how things went down here a year or so ago? Not that those are bad topics, but it certainly feels more...lighthearted now that what Red was describing here.

I have been told by several friends who'd quit smoking and ballooned that it was an oral fixation. When it becomes your habit to bring something to your lips continuously, that you continue that habit with something else. They basically replaced cigarettes with food, because the act of hand-to-mouth just becomes normal behavior. One of my saxophone professors said that's precisely what happened to him.

I don't think this is an ALWAYS explanation, but a common one. I know my old man first started packing on the pounds after he quit, too.

Actually yes. Nicotine is an appetite suppressant. So as the chemicals leave the body, but more importantly the brain, he will realize that he's hungry.

The Body Guard is on. *sigh* Someone on CC had a dream that I married Kevin Costner. I think I'm having that same dream right now. :)
