I'm more of a Star Wars fan. I've seen the first reboot movie and thought it was good but not great (also, far too much lens-flare!) The second movie looks good but I'll wait to see it on DVD.

On the weekend, I had two friend's parties to attend - one a 21st and the other a 30th. Both were costume parties, so I went as the random wizard off the back cover of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (I've been told I have quite the likeness to him). I'm not a huge fan of parties but these involved good, responsible fun. Then yesterday, I went to church and we had food and fellowship time afterwards. It was a good weekend.
 
We're going to Niagara falls this weekend. It's the most expensive place to book a non bed bug hotel. I'm still packing all of our clothing and toiletries in large Ziploc baggies. Sorry I don't trust any hotel.

Maybe I will make everyone sleep in garment bags. My friend offered us a a place to stay, but between her husband , dog 3 kids and a tiny one bathroom house I'll risk the bed bugs. Not that I don't appreciate the offer. I think I heard a little sigh of relief when I said, no thanks we will stay in a Hotel.

I had to give in and call the Doctor today. Apparently I have a sinus infection, Ricola cough drops taste really good.
 
Ricola honey lemon was are the best! I didn't know there was still a bed bug scare still on? Or is this just something you always have to watch for in hotels?? I dunno I never go to hotels,well not in a long time at least. Sorry to hear about the sinus infection..ugh,that must be painful.
 
ALWAYS watch for bed bugs in hotels.

When I worked at La Quinta (before children...B.C...hahaha) our hotel was the only one in the entire area that didn't have bed bugs.
OH...also...I strongly advise you take the bed spread and blanket off the bed and request fresh ones. PLEASE. Those things are so gross, bed bugs or no.

Ugh. I hate sleeping in hotels. I just can't fall asleep in them. Even if there was no such thing as bedbugs, hotels and sleeping in beds used by lots of random strangers gives me the creeps.

And I'm scared of ghosts. I'm not trying to be funny or cute here. I'm always paranoid of getting that one room that someone died in. O.o

I am way more scared of bugs that ghosts. Now mind you,I've never encountered a ghost,so I guess I can't actually compare the two...but man..I think I'd rather sleep in a hotel room with 10 ghosts that spend one night locked in a room with a moth!!!!

Well...evil spirits and bugs are scary in completely different ways. You can't really compare the two. :P lol

I used to like moths. Then one laid eggs in an bag of my favorite cereal.........

So, true story...3 people died in that hotel in the year that I worked there. One of them was the head hauncho of that particular La Quinta, and he was living in a suite on the top floor...and nobody saw him or heard from him for a few days, then the head housekeeper went to check on him, let herself in and was just gonna clean up a little and get fresh towels...saw his feet sticking out from the other side of the bed. Poor guy had a heart attack and fell on the floor :(

Cleaning rooms where people died recently was pretty creepy feeling, and I'm not superstitious.

Things never to do:
1.stay at a La Quinta Hotel
2.never eat a bowl of cereal offered to you at Relena's house (even if said cereal is your favorite)
3.wash all my blankets & bedding today...no scratch that!
4.BUY all NEW blankets & bedding today
5.never anger the ghost or spirit of a moth

We store everything that takes a long time to eat in big plastic containers with snap-on lids or big glass jars now. Never had a problem with moths after that. :)
 
I just realized how retarded my "never to do things list is,if you really read it...I totally EPIC FAILED it. LOL Ok then,well I will reconsider eating cereal at your home now Relena. LOL

I started to "like" your post, but that would mean "liking" that you have a sinus infection too. :)
 
I love Niagara falls. We're going to the aquarium too. I always bring Lysol with me to hotels. I know I'm nuts.

Really, it's not nuts to bring Lysol. I've seen housekeepers do some pretty disgusting things...and I don't think I'll tell you about them right before you go stay in a hotel haha.

...but seriously, take the Lysol.
