My fave authors are; C.S Lewis, J.R.R Tolkien Raymond E Fiest and David Eddings

No! Not in order, this is listed randomly and no where near to being my complete list of favorite authors, these are just some off the top of my head since if I were to list all there would be so many that people refused to read my thread! haha
Here is one, randomized, that I liked:

Harper Lee - To kill a Mockingbird. Too bad she only wrote this book (as far as I know).
William Faulkner - The Sound and the Fury.
Knut Hamsun - Hunger.
Vaino Linna (Im not sure the spelling is correct) - dont recollect the title, was maybe something like "unknown soldier"?
Artur Arntzen - His books are hilarious
, but I do not believe they are translated to english.

This is a little telling, but I love Thomas Harris (Red Dragon, Hannibal, etc.) and Stephen King (last I read was The Dome, but I think I've read em all starting with Carrie - even read Danse Macabe, the short stories and the series). Like to read Mario Puzo (Godfather, Fools Die, etc.).
I'm almost surprised how many Christians love Stephen King.
His stories have a lot of value to them; it's a shame so many people I know reject them because they happen to have ghosts.
That said, some of his stuff was trash.

Anything by Roald Dahl.
I love JK Rowling, JRR Tolkien, Dan Brown, Will Adams, Arthur Conan Doyle, Cormac McArthy, Max Brooks, etc etc. I want to be a writer myself.
Good to see someone enjoyed it. I found Heller revolting. Mostly because I didn't like how he treated the subject matter.
If you like books along those lines though, I recommend Kurt Vonnegut.

I think he's one of the best authors I've ever come across. His work is thought provoking and can keep you wrapped up for hours if you have an open mind. I say why bash an author or a book because there are certain things within the book with which you do not necessarily agree when the entire world is that way! Are you going to bash all of the world too? I like giving everything and everything a fair chance.

If my Spanish is correct- this translates to "The Thousand and One Nights (am I right?) then no I have not read it, would you recommend it? Last night I got about 10 new books so I can add this one as well to my list.

According to Goodreads, I've read 151 books.
... but that's mostly because I can't remember all the books I've read. (In my defense, I only discovered it a few months back, so I have over 20 years of reading to catch up with ).
Favorites, in no particluar order:
The secret garden - Frances H Burnett (Fiction. A childrens classic, but definitely worth a read for adults too)
the Lionheart Brothers - Astrid Lindgren (Fiction. A childrens classic in Scandinavia, but definitely worth a read for adults too)
LOTR triology - JRR Tolkien (Fiction)
Narnia triology (Fiction)
Fall of Giants - Ken Follett (Historical. Both fictional and real characters)

I adored the secret garden. I love reading books then watching the move right after, which is what I did with the secret garden I also enjoyed LOTR, I admire Toliken's work.
