When i read StJohn of the cross, i am convinced it close to a romantic love.

When i think about it, God hides from me from time to time, just as at times i feel His intense love. Seems like romantic relationship, almost a courtship?
God is beyond my complete understanding, but I think He can make himself known to us in ways we can understand.
