The definition of salvation , according to Strong's concordance means "a deliverance"

there is a one time eternal deliverance that happened on the cross by Jesus remitting the sins of those that his Father gave him.

There will never be any other eternal deliverance's given as Jesus stated, while on the cross, "it is finished" meaning that the purpose of God sending him to earth as a man was finished on the cross.

If the scriptures are interpreted right, there are many deliverance's (salvation's) for his elect, as they sojourn here in earth, by their good works

Eternal deliverance is given by God's grace. The other deliverance's are earned by the good works of God's born again elect.
INCORRECT!!! read Ephessians 2:8,9, & 10

Not in consideration of 1 John 5:4.

1 Peter 1:23 plus 1 John 5:4

Are you saying that your faith has saved (delivered) you eternally?

I understand that the scriptures uphold that those who have been born again can be delivered (saved) by their faith in overcoming the world.

The word "faith" in Ephesians 2:8, is not mankind's faith, but it is Christ's faith (Gal 2:16). Saved=delivered By following God's commandments can save (deliver) those who have been born again as they live their lives here on earth. The only ones that will follow God's commandments are those that have been born again.

not mankind's faith? each individual's faith is that person's response to God in the salvation experience. who's faith are you using to be saved? no one's. each born again Christian has placed their faith In God, Jesus & the H.S.

You are advocating that the natural man, before he has been born spiritually, has faith in spiritual matters. Your theory is contradictory to 1 Cor 2:14.

When God, by his grace, regenerates the natural man, they are dead spiritually DEAD. The only spiritual faith a person has is the imputed faith, which is one of the fruits of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which is given at the time of being born again. (Eph 2:1-5).

no, i'm not. please stop assuming. assuming is a common practice on CC. even catholics have spiritual faith although be it not properly aligned with Jesus. it is true that 1 can have faith in spiritual matters before being born again. we all had to have a 1st thought when the idea of being born again entered our minds. i don't think we are totally spiritually dead before regeneration, although some people may be.

SO, you give the "Strong's definition, and then add your "SPIN" to it to produce total garbage.

"Salvation" is what happens when a person is CONVICTED OF THEIR SIN by the Holy Spirit, Repents, and calls on GOD IN FAITH (gifted by God) to be CLEANSED OF THEIR SIN, Infilled by the Holy Sprit, and become Born Again Christians.

SO, the Strong's definition is absolutely correct, but insufficient without the context of Scripture.

I apologize. I usually supply scriptures with my remarks, and appreciate receiving comments with scripture proof.

What I am understanding you to say, is that the natural man, as described in 1 Cor 2:14, can be convicted of their sinful nature by a spiritual Holy Spirit, convincing them to repent of breaking a spiritual commandment of a spiritual God in which they cannot receive, and thinks them to be foolishness. Are these your thoughts?

To my understanding of the scriptures, Eph 2:1-5 explains the new spiritual birth, but maybe I am wrong, could you explain it to me
more fully with scripture proof?

Christ's atonement on the cross, for only those that his Father gave him, was an offering to God, for God's acceptance, and not to mankind for their acceptance.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

If you are assuming that the world in this verse means all of humanity, you are misinterpreting it. Only God's sheep hear and believe (John 10:26-29).

Keep in mind that all of the scriptures must harmonize before you can understand the truth. I try to furnish scripture reference with my comments, and not assume.

A born again person's faith can save=deliver them as they sojourn here on earth, but it does not deliver them eternally, that's done by Jesus's faith (Gal 2:16)

Not according to Thayer's Greek concordance. Any aggregate or general collection of particulars of any sort (the Gentiles as contrasted to the Jews Rom 11:12)

Used of believers only. John 1:29, 3:16, 3:17, 6:33, 12:47, 1 Cor 4:9, 2 Cor 5:19.

Perhaps you should just stick with the Bible instead of splitting hayers with Thayer's.

Perhaps you should try to harmonize the scriptures more intensely, instead of sticking with your indoctrinated eternal salvation by works theory.

some people, definitely, are dead in spirit. atheists are. we all know people who are trying to do the right thing, atheist or believer, who are waxing & waning in spiritual thought. some of those people are witnessed to & become born again.
