The religious spirit is demonic. It's more interested in what we look like than what we really are. It's man trying to be righteous outside the relationship with God

Doing Jesus works can be another form of religious activity.

What should we embrace if the religious spirit is to be avoided?

Our tendency to distraction and materialism is great in America. But God is greater. He is calling us away from this worlds system, and Internet, and all that keeps us numb or dull to Him.

We will have a generation with "Yes!" in our spirit that will be so loud! Louder than anything. Love never fails. Let those see Him kiss us and be made fools.

We have no right to pick up a stone and throw it at someone. We have the ministry of reconciliation.

What if judgment comes to your city because the church is holding up an accusation and holding the sins against them. Instead love and cry out and ask God to capture His heart for people. He didn't ask us to converts. He called us to love!

Grace is God loving me. And using me in spite of myself. Jesus paid for the injustice, that's the scandal of grace.

We've been givin the ministry of reconciliation not imputing people's sins against them.

may God fill You this day as you put your heart before Him, and give you eyes to see everyone as He does.

Yes - only the message of God's grace has the power to build people up. But, that message must be acted out.

Thank you for this Lamb, God has touched your heart. Me too. I see your emphasis on the need for us to wrap everything in love, and to take off the need to make it our task to get people to their righteousness. Gods Word tells us it is the Holy Spirit that calls unto men, and it is Christ who brings men unto Himself. So, their is this foundation of,... me not doing anything but reconciling, I agree 100%. God calls us to Minister as Ambassadors of Christ, with the "of Christ" as the focal point here.

God does go on to state the "Hows" of correcting and Rebuking, which was not your highlight. Nor did it need to be....But I want to balance your message by also saying God Himself will do the finishing work in us not by a thick smear of grace pudding all over us, But by confronting each and every issue in us, and correct and Rebuke us thru His Word and thru the impressions of the Holy Spirit, finishing what Christ has started in us.

I encourage the next "blog-responder" to, complete the balanced approach here, by talking about how we should test the Spirits as well. God bless you for your article Faith with works is alive!, notice we never say it positively like that?!! Must mean a lot of us don't do it so we need correcting, thru His Spirit and Word.....Smile. God has pushed the GO button for us, yet wants us to have the right tools to get the job done.

I also want to say the scandal of grace is not a scandal at all.

If I buy you dinner and have thought out my limited budget prior and go on to conclude it is something I want to give, it would steal my joy to have you say, "Oh, you didn't have to give me that.."....Continued begrudgingly saying,.." but thank you!" The cost I had in the sacrifice given, now has no notice? Or appreciation?...What now has taken the lead in thought over that? Guilt?

What just happened there? You had respect for the dinner distributor but stole both of your joys by not receiving it unabashed by guilt. Guilt lost the power of the gift.

God wants us to know He has thought about the prior budget of His grace, turns out-- It was plenty full. So, He joyfully gave of His son, for a relationship of love with us. The son also had a will, and He gave having counted the cost and He gave freely for that relationship of us to the Father, and to Himself being one with the Father, as well. Did it cost something ..of coarse. But it is now the recognition of the offering that takes precedence.

By not accepting that whole-heartedly we rob His Joy for us and our joy in us. Satan loves it. Satan loves making us think see we are so bad we hurt God terribly. That way, when he invites us to sin and we do, sins power strips our joy and victory... ever so much more. Satan rolls his fists and looks to plant his seeds in us and distance us even more from Gods peace and joy.. .. he fakes his concerns for your grief and offers you the next dead- end season of sin. That soon has no season at all, except its guaranteed outcome...death.

Accept the dinner with Joy, except Jesus on the cross with Joy, For God has seen fit to make it that way! Appreciate it, but pity it not.
