This earthly shell we inhabit for a short time is not who we are. However, while we are in the body, we are still Servants of the Great I Am, and in need of His grace, mercy, and instruction.

We are created in His Image,

Genesis 1:26) “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

Genesis 2:7 - And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

and this is reflected in the teachings of the Apostle Paul when he said:

1 Thessalonians 5:23 - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Just as our God is a Triune God, we are a triune being. It is difficult to see the three parts of man, just as it is difficult to understand the Triune Being of God, but both are Truth! We need to face this life knowing how God "feeds" each.

Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

2 Timothy 2:15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Matthew 4:4) “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

John 17:17) Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

2 Timothy 3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17) That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

John 14:15) If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16) And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

God also uses His Servants to feed us:

John 21:15) So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16) He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 17) He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

.....and, while this passage of Scripture has a deeper meaning, it still serves as a Command from Christ for His Servants to "feed" His children.

Paul said:

Romans 1014) “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”

1 Peter 2:2) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Hebrews 5:12-14) For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.

Jeremiah 3:15) "Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding.

John 6:51) "I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh."

Finally, let us hold fast our faith, and strive to do the will of God that He has chosen and purposed us to do! Feast on His Word, and lean upon the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit for counseling! And, if we do, just as did the Apostle Paul, we can say:

2 Timothy 4:7) “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:”

May God bless and keep you and yours...........

As always, good stuff, man who appreciates the elephant :D! Thank you. :)

My favorite part of technology is that it has brought the word of God to so many.

Google and GPS are awesome too but not near as awesome as that.

.....and God provides for our earthly sustenance as well, and does so daily.......

Matthew 6:11) Give us this day our daily bread.

6:25) Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26) Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

31) Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34) Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Matthew 14:14) And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

15And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. 16) But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. 17) And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. 18) He said, Bring them hither to me. 19) And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 20) And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. 21) And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

God is surely good!
