In order to protect Black and Hispanic children from the destructive effects
of racism and white supremacy, the State of Oregon is proposing that
teachers no longer expect right answers nor require kids to show their work.

In other words; all will be dumbed down in the name of equality rather than
any urged to excel; which of course assumes that, as a bloc, certain races
are IQ challenged; giving Caucasians and Asians an unfair advantage.

Apparently the long-range goal is to have everyone laboring on collective
farms chopping cotton and harvesting lettuce.

Nevermind. Found the information.
Reminds me of this short video:

I want to laugh at this..........
BUT
there's A LOT of sad truths here.......
(that go FAR beyond math)

OHH!! just got to the videos end........
:D:LOL: NICE comeback teacher!

Is this for the benifit of the kids or the teachers that probably do not know the right answer,
What's sad is when my kids were in public school and the "new math" concepts were being taught, half the time the teachers didn't know what they were doing!!!!
My kiddos a "struggeling learner" and was suppose to be getting "help".
I was at a meeting one day and mentioned how math homework is NOT a good thing for her. She was drawing these little boxes and then writing numbers and trying to add this box on the left bottom with the one on the right top, then take that number and add to the number in the box of the middle column plus ..........
So the teacher starts to draw these boxes and "teach mom" this "new math" (now, mind you, this techer is younger than mom and hasn't been out of school long herself) except that as she is doing this she stops and looks at it, shows it to another teacher in the meeting and questions "wait, is this right? That's how you do it right?"
And they wonder why a student who already struggels with stuff is so D**N FRUSTERATED???

In SA, they have lowered the pass rate now to 35% or something ridiculous like that.

If America allow this in a few years time the universities will not be able to fail a person of color because they didn't make their grade. In SA if you are white and want to study for a doctor your average mark should be 95% but if you are black, not even 60%. The same with many other occupations.

Students are now rioting because they demand their university studies to be free of charge. If there are no more standards you are busy creating a lower than average workforce and in the end you will sit with the same problems we have in SA.
